Y'know what's a certainty for the future? Ramsay Effing Bolton, and I cannot goddamn wait.

In a world filled to the brim with psychotic killers... that man takes the cake.

And thanks to the treatment he gives Theon, you could even argue he's a force for karmic balance.

I've just started (and finished) watching all of Game of Thrones that has currently been aired, (since last weekend actully, that's how good it was), and as I see it an extra series can only be good. There might be some problems with the children aging a bit much though, if they really do go on, right to the end.

Jojen and Meera are appearing a little late for it to make much sense.

They have already established Osha as the one who knows about the 'psyhic' dreams Bran has, they have taken out pretty much everything regarding the Reed's so far (Ned's memories for example) and so introducing them now is more likely to provide confusion than clarifiation.

Personally it'd make more sense for them to reveal that Osha knows about things beyond the wall and takes Bran and Rickon there. Sure, it's a deviation, but it'd make more sense now that they have already drifted away with this subplot as it is.

I'm a fan of the books but I haven't been following the show. I loved this book though, so maybe I'll watch it.
Also, I hope they manage to make the fourth book more entertaining somehow, but from the sound of it we'll have to wait about three years for that one.

My girlfriend's favorite game to play while watching Game of Thrones is "Where's Ricken"

this is going to get complicated very soon. I shudder to think what they're going to have to do with Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.
I guess, those will be mixed into Seasons 4 and 5. Most of the stuff in those 2 tomes occurs in the same timeframe.

Why does EVERY news outlet feel this compulsion to note that characters die, and make jokes about surviving long enough? I don't get it.

Wait! David Michael Scott played Beric Dondarrion in Season 1(for one scene), are they recasting or reintroducing? Probably going to need a makeup job, so it really doesn't matter if they recast him, I think one of the story characters said they barely recognized him.

I was wondering about this too. I wonder how many of the brotherhood will actually survive the transition from the books?

Yeah, we're screwed. If they want to run the story through all seven books they're going to need at least ten seasons and what are the odds that HBO will keep the lights on that long?

Still wish Eddard hadn't... Well you know.

Really glad they got a great actor to play him, Sean Bean had me almost as attached as the books did. Surprised that even though I read to the 4th book still saying, "Why????" It returned as soon as it happened in season 1.

Good things to come. Especially considering they made parts of the greyjoy arc tolerable. I seriously was finding it to be a total snoozefest in the books anytime the plot returned to Pyke or Winterfell.

As much as I adore Game of Thrones, I don't know how I feel about 2 seasons for one book.
Well, I think they'll do a good job at least. Not disappointed so far.

I was very happy to hear that they decided to dedicate two seasons to the third book. The biggest problem with book-to-film adaptations is how often they're forced (or choose, rather) to cut out an incredible amount of detail. I understand the need to do this more often than not, but again, more often than not, it's not done well. Considering simply how amazing Game of Thrones has been since it's pilot, I'm certain it'll continue down this path.

Now, the only issue I'm having is waiting for the season finale this Sunday... having not read the books I have absolutely no idea what will happen, and I'm sure there will be deaths. So many of the actors are phenomenal, it'll be sad to see 'em go.

For anyone interested, here is the cast list for the third season if you haven't already seen it:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s151/game-of-thrones/news/a384326/game-of-thrones-season-three-new-character-list-revealed.html

Spoilers from the book and so forth...

My guess for where the third series might end is before Tyrion's trial. My reasoning for this is because theres no news of the Prince of Dorne yet, who obviously fights Ser Gregor Glegane as his champion. I'm hoping they're either going to squeeze the majority of both boths of the third book in to one series or they'll end it on Joffrey's death... that'd be an interesting finale!

But I'm probably completely wrong with my guess considering that they're going to have to somehow combine A Feast for Crows with A Dance With Dragons Part 1 for the series after that. I can't go through an entire series without my favourite characters! (Sandor, Tyrion and Ayra).

I am a huge fan of this series, but I have not read the books. I assume that splitting a book into two seasons is a good thing?

Meh. Took me several episodes just to get a handle on the current set of people.
