28 days (While still sealed), 10 days if you just plain don't like the game (Not for PC games) or you can just trade it in and get a piss poor amount of trade in money.

I'll give you the whole story, I've bought Mirrors Edge at a Game store inside a Borders, finished it and want to return it for credit. Can I do this, I don't mind lying P.S Do you have to return it to the same store.

You get a good deal. The GameStop around here won't take returns if it's been opened. You have to trade it in, even if it was bought the same fucking day.

That is because Gamestop can't legally resell the game as new if it has been opened and played.

Yea that's one really annoying thing about game stop. That and the people who work at the one in my town don't know shit about games!!!

You do realise Gamestop deliberately encourage the idea of second hand games? Its what makes them the biggest profit, which is why they insist on store credit and you need to bend over backwards in order to get full price on a game you return.

They don't give a shit about leagally reselling the thing as new. As far as they are concerned if they get to sell the game twice then woohoo!

What you have to note is that almost every single gaming store out there is breaking the law. In almost every country in the world you can return goods and get your money back, for a week or month or something. This INCLUDES gaming stores, even if they sell pc games. They'll probably tell you that you can't return it, but they're actually breaking the law when they're doing that.

Call you lawyer, or find the passage in a law book and quote it for them next time.

I of course would never condone this if you actually played, liked and finished a game. That's just immoral and not much above theft. Rent the bloody thing next time if you're just going to do that.
