Reach was a great conclusion to the series, and I feel that the Halo name will be completely wrecked in the next couple of years, as Microsoft are just going to start development on crappy Halo games.

I agree almost completely. Final Fantasy should join the Die pile, along with Halo, Gears of War, and Devil Mat Cry. They're not even going anywhere anymore. They're just milking the Cash Cows. Also, throw in Dynasty Warriors and the awful series of hit movie-shitty video game thing. Enough already.

What should go on...none. When a series outlives it's due, it should just die. We don't need to know about the 6000 years before our hero came along. Stop milking the cash cow!!!

I'm happy to let Final Fantasy live. Square-Enix at least make the effort to make each game different in some significant way, so they all feel different, and none of the stories are connected so it's fine in my book.

Gears should end after 3 and Halo should end now Reach has been released. That'll give both series some closure story-wise. There isn't really much more of a story to tell in the Halo Universe, and hopefully Epic will round up the story in Gears 3 as the gameplay doesn't seem to be changing at all, and it's really just a continuation of the story. And the want for money, of course.

I agree with you completely, and I admit I've always had a bit of bias towards hating the FF series. It's too...unrealistic for my tastes. Sephiroth's Sword. Seriously? But, they do continue to tell the story, but as most of my friends have said(and they're pretty hardcore FF Fans), it's basically the same story repeated endlessly. I just want it to end to spare it from the Friday the Thirteenth thing. It's great, but there comes a point when you have to seriously shut it down. FtT went on WAY too long and overstayed it's welcome, and FF is beginning to do the same thing.
