Forgive me if this belongs in the Off-topic Discussion forum but my question is sort of a game related question.

So with Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker coming out soon I have been looking up info and other things about the game. When I was on EBgames.com it said that there is two PSP Packages for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, one's just a regular package with a solid green color PSP and the other is a collector's edition of the PSP Package that comes with a Camo PSP and some other stuff.

So I go down to my local EB to preorder the collector's edition (I need a new PSP but I'd rather a fancy one instead of a solid color) and I find out they are only getting the regular package, now I found out also that apparently EBgames.com is the American site, I thought it was Canadian cause I figured Gamestop is basically the American EB and I didn't know the USA has EB Games. I then went to Gamestop.ca and found out that apparently no one in Canada is getting the collector's edition PSP Package (at least that's what I think)

So my question is why is Canada (at least where I live) not getting the Collector's Edition PSP Package of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and everybody else is?

Canada didn't even get the Dissidia package for PSP that came with preorder at Gamestop like promised. It seems after I preordered they decided not to give it to Canada.

I guess Canada doesn't get PSP deals

REALLY!? What did the PSP look like?

This is some bullshit! I really wanted it too, I mean my PSP works fine, it's the old Darth Vader one but the screen is scratched up a bit, also it would be nice to get a new one

Since Canada is always lumped in with the US when massing statistical data in video game land, it is a bit wonky.

But it's nothing new. Remember FFX:International? I wanted that, but it only came out in the EU (and Japan?). NA didn't get it at all. Either way, I feel you. I'm in Canada myself.
I've never heard of FFX: International

It had Dark versions of the Aeons (as bonus boss content).
Alternate Sphere Grids (if I'm not mistaken - maybe someone from EU can clarify)
And a new Super boss (I think).

Since FFX was the easiest FF game ever made, I was looking forward to a possible challenge in the form of FFX:International. Sadly, it never came.
I fucking hate when Europe gets stuff and we never get it, same with Japan, like how when FF 12 came out Japan got these Energy drinks that looked like potions

I know this is tangenital to the question, but EB and Gamestop were both American companies, and direct competitors at that. It's why used games used to be so cheap; Gamestop bought out EB a few years back, and prices have been sky high ever since. I guess they decided to use the EB name in Canada, and the Gamestop name in America because the names were more widespread in the respective countries. It's not universal across the two countries, though -- here in florida, EB was all over the place from the time it was still called Electronics Boutique, while I first heard of Gamestop a year or two before they bought out EB.

Canada always gets the short end of the stick... never understood why. I mean, it's not like they're separated from us by a vast ocean or something. I'm looking at you Europe... but at least you attempt to give us something. Which is more than I can say about Japan - or us - which rarely does even that -- or so I have noticed anyways.

Anyways, I've never understood it. Like I said, we're separated by a border and not an ocean... there's really no excuse for this. The only one I see is quantity and even then that's a pretty weak excuse.
