So I'm in a bit of a bind, I beat Dragon Age: Origins the other day and now I'm yearning for something deep and complex. People have suggested the Baldur's Gate series, so I'm busy tracking down a copy of that. Does anyone know of a game that can satisfy my need?

Information, please.
What do you like? What have you already played.
This is going to be a no brainer but if you haven't already, play TES IV: Oblivion.

Off topic: Wow 400 posts.

Congrats.

OT: All I can really say is; go for things like Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Possibly Morrowind too.

KotOR. Get KotOR after Baldur's Gate though, because KotOR is so awesome that Baldur's Gate will look like a kiddies game in comparison.

KotOR destroyed all other RPG's for me!

Mass Effect? Also Dragon Age has several endings, I'm sure you could play it a few more times yet.

If you're going that route get Champions of Norrath.

:EDIT: It just struck me that you didn't mention what system you would prrfer to play on.

If you do play Fallout 3, do not play Fallout 1 and 2 until AFTER, because they will ruin it for you.

Yeah played it. Overplayed it actually. I think I've sucked every last drop of fun from that game.

Played those too. Maybe I'll track down another copy of Morrowind.

I'm just looking for something deep, it needn't be a RPG nesseccerily

If you liked the Gothic games, though if you're American I'm guessing you didn't, Risen is worth checking out. I started playing it today and so far I've sunk 8 hours into it, so that's saying something.

But then, if somebody has already the Baldur's Gate games to you, then I strongly suggest you play them. Start with the first one for the story, but number 2 is the real gem. And Hubilub: Get some taste, BG kicks KoTOR's ass a million times!

how will they ruin it? because they show how shallow and bad fallout 3 was?
Shallow, yes. But don't call Fallout 3 a bad game. It was a bad fallout game, sure, but as a standalone game it's still one of my favourite 360 games.

I'm pretty sure the BG series is on gametap. a penny the first month, 1000 of them the next.

I've always really liked gametap.

Well, Assassin's Creed 1 is a lot of fun. The only fault it really has is repetitiveness. The storyline is good, game mechanics are good, the only glitches the game seems to have are the dead body ones (hilarious I love those), and it includes history in it and stuff. Oh and you get to run people over with a horse HAHAHAH.

I've heard good things about Assassin's Creed 2. You could also go for Neverwinter Nights 2, Mass Effect, or Dark Messiah. Though... if you were after a pure mental challenge, then you could go for the Myst series.
