Game Video Capture Software

Hello Escapists. I am curious if any of you have used game capture software before and which you would recommend, perhaps to make Machinima? I want to know what the community thinks before I drop $36 on FRAPS.

FRAPS good, probably the best. Money well spent, just make sure you have a ninja computer.

Thank yeh.. My computer's more of a Spec Ops than a Ninja, but I'm sure it can handle it.

I've been poking around, looking for these things myself. Of the five I've tried, FRAPS was the easily the best.

If you're calling me a pirate, you should know that if I were to pirate this program, I would have already done so and not bothered to ask. If you're telling me to pirate, I have many reasons why I don't pirate programs or games, none of which I will list here right now.
