Gamebattles Anyone?

Does anyone here play Gamebattles? Just wondering if this community has heard of it.

It's a competitive website for video games, one of the many branches of the MLG franchise (If you can call it that).

Its usually most popular on Call of Duty but has loads of other games, I'm not advertising just wondering if anyone is registered on it.

lol i made a group thingy with a mate yonks ago on there, i can say it never really kicked off or was fun.

Yeah agreed, depends when you play through, play early there at school, play later and they have bedtime = solution.

I used to use Gamebattles - I had a pretty active team that focused primarily on Call of Duty 4; I did pretty well - we got into the top few thousand on the EU ladder, which, when the game was at its peak, was pretty damn high. I even managed to get into the top 10 on Soul Calibur 4 soon after the ladder was released.

However, I quit soon after that - the community is dreadful, people take it way to seriously, and thus cheat, or lie about the score whenever possible. However, there's nothing like playing again an organized team - it's a tense, team-based experience you just don't get playing in public matches. I'd gladly play again if I could, as before, find a team that wasn't full of douchbags...

The website annoys the hell out of me, not going to bother trying.

But no, I've played in Clanbase leagues in the past though, and a few mini Worms tournaments, don't particularly want to get into that again.
