Nah, after I threw my PS2 remote once I managed to stop that habit. My bro has broken 2 laptops and 2 controllers with his rage. >_> I can't afford to buy new stuff. I just put the controller down and throw cushions instead xD Way safer!
Many times im ashamed to admit..(only since the advent of the wireless controller however)..fuckin Prototype i couldn't finish that game because after the encounter with the 1st encounter with hunters, and the specialist (oh the specialist) and that super hunter and oh soo much more..i mean sometimes games can be quite frustrating
My recent experience with trying to earn the "BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED SLAUGHTER" achievement in L4D2 and then almost getting it. But I didn't...because of the slow and steady AI. And having an off day in MF:2. My sister nearly got pegged by the controller, and the thing didn't break, I was amazed.
Soul Calibur 3 made me break one controller once, but that's the only rage casualty I've had. It was the one time I outright threw a controller on something hard. A couple other times I've slammed my controller onto my soft ottoman, but that's a long time ago too. I've learned to confine my rage into punching the armrest of my chair now, doing more damage to me than the armrest in order to teach me a lesson. After doing that a couple times, I learn to just quit.
DBZ Budokai (the first one not DBZ Budokai: Ultra Super Saiyan Mega Fisty Rape XIV) trying to finish the tournament on hard, damn you kid gohan damn you and you're small stature. I tore a controller in half playing that game (yes tore not broke tore).
ah yes that game, I made my 2 mates rage about that one, 1080 hadn't long been out and i never played it to that point, they was doing the down the slope trick attack, on my 1st ever go i pulled off like a 30 trick jump (i was just mashing buttons and messing with the stick) and got some ridiculous million point score or something (kinda hard to remember what the score was it was many years ago) the announcer voice was like 1080..1080...360..360..1080 sometimes not able to finish saying it. a complete fluke and they never beat that score in rage they traded it in 2nd hand LOLisawdrones said:

I have never reached this level of rage my self, but you won't believe how angry some 12 year old "L33T P@lay3rs" you can cause huge amounts of rage by continueally killing/dominating them with the class/weapon load out they are suppose to counter (I.E. in TF2, sneak up to Snipers as a Heavy, extra points if you dominate them only using his kill taunt).
Would somebody kindly inform me how landing the plane in Top Gun is so difficult? The speed and altitude you have to hold are indicated on the bottom of the screen.

I guess it would be fair to assume that everybody is paying attention to "UP!!UP!!" at the top of said bottom screen, but it doesn't take a walkthrough to tell you to look up slightly.
Anyway, on topic. I haven't been pissed off enough to throw a controller in that sense of the word, but I have slammed it on my bed due to it being the closest available soft surface. Actually breaking something due to being pissed off at a game is a bit... over the top.
The funny thing is, throwing my phone against the floor is how I got it working again after half of the keypad buttons mysteriously stopped working. *shrug*
I only get pissed off at something that I die to which was total bullshit (God of War 2, Theseus, I'm looking at you. Or Crysis when I got run over by my own tank three times in a row when I was close to the end), and even then, I always end up swearing at the screen and silently hoping that whatever I got killed by dies of a cerebral hemorrhage.

the only games i tend to get really mad about these days are racing games... namely need for speed it plays well until that 1 part of the game where its impossible because random shit just starts to happen like the car suddenly crashed in an open road or some other crap on the long races that take 5-10 mins to complete it really pisses me off and the more you fail at it the angrier you get after few tries i have the urge to break my screen but i rage quit the game instead... other then that no i dont get angry at video games...
you guys hate seth as well? man i recently got the game on pc and i dont have a controller so iam playing it arcade style and i play on like easy and seth is literally unbeatable or something.. i keep owning him 1st round then he gets some cheat sheet with all the moves that do like 50% dmg to your health bar. granted i beat him couple times but its on EASY! i cant imagine how hard he is on the higher difficulty levels.Hazy said:
