Ever gone to someones house for a party, they get out a party game and being a gamer...people expect you to be the best at it?
"oh, you're good at computer games. You'll probably win this"

I went to a BBQ today and after some beers, the girls thought it a great idea to get out 'Just Dance' for the Wii. I'm good at Samba de Amigo and the dancing bit in Raving Rabbits...but this game was....girly xD

Anyways i'm sorry to say fellow gamers..i let you down, I lost the dance-off to a 6yr old girl by a few hundred points. She had more room to swing..i swear >_>

Do you guys get this too? Just because you enjoy playing games, others expect you to dominate the rest with super skills like it was a sport?

Yeah.. and then I get my ass handed to me because I FAIL at First Person Shooters. I'll kick your ass at Brawl, but don't hand me Halo.

It's a dance game don't worry yourself. If gamers aren't being confused for being the ultimate winners then we're being horribly bad at dancing..well I am at least.

There are never any games at my parties so I really don't know. The closet was when I was at a friends place with a few people and we played Guitar Hero, but I won anyway.

It's happened to me once or twice. Funny bit on that is after they give me a few minutes with the game I generally pick it up well enough to beat them. So it's true, this gamer always wins!

I can pick up any FPS and be good at it, I was pretty damned good at Super Smash back in the day, I play my fair share of strategy games too.

But, I can NEVER play sports games...

It's never happened to me at all, because the people I hang out with are gamers they just expect me to be competent at it.

I guess if it was one of your favourite games you could probable beat that 6 year old at that.

i once brought one of my friends round to play games and this guy had no idea about games as he is a social kind of guy and i tried to get him to play LFD2 on easy and he just didn't get it.

I can only play FPS and party games well, so I'm lucky that no one ever breaks out a strategy game or an MMORPG at a party :D

Oh dude, it takes me forever to get good at a game so I get owned on a regular basis on games I don't own. Actually my GF beat me on Teken last night which was lame... But to be fair when we got home i put on SoulCalibur and showed her a thing or two =P

Not so much this but i get a lot of 'Ohhh you're good with computers can you fix my XYZ'
No, just no. I'm fed up of that, no where on my Computer Science course does it mention fixing easily google-able problems.

The day someone breaks out C&C 95 at a party is the day I consider the fact that I may be in heaven
