If the banter between the players is to be believed, turns out Justin Bieber likes Pokemon.

Still not sure if that's supposed to be cool or not.

Huh? Desert Bus? What? How can you say that it's inspired by it? (Unless they stated it was from you.) Another bunch of people did the first two gens over a weekend for charity about a month or two ago. I'd say its more inspired by that. Hell people have been doing this thing for years now. I recall someone doing one of all of the Mario games up to Sunshine a few years back.

It's still an awesome idea and I'll certainly be donating tho

How is this inspired by Desert Bus? Hasn't this kind of thing been going on for, you know, a long time? I was expecting them to have actually said they were inspired by that, it seems like a bit of a site plug to put that as a byline no?

Anyways, this is good to see, I've been hearing a lot about different activities being done to aid Japan, hats off to them.

"They also caught Articuno with a Magikarp. I've been playing Pokemon for thirteen years now and I'm not even sure how you'd do something like that."

I haven't been playing quite that long, but I'm in complete agreement with this statement.
articuno is on its own little island in the middle of nowhere, magikarp was just outside teh 3rd gym. That how i remember doing it in pokemon yellow, but I haven't played a pokemon game for about 11 years now so I could be completely wrong here :p
i didn't mean where they caught them, i meant how they took a magikarp and used it to catch an articuno (if memory serves, it was a pain in the neck to catch)
Trainer: "Go Magikarp"
Magikarp: *pathetic water splashing sound of a fish)
Trainer: "use splash"
Magikarp: *splashing sounds

Trainer "Go Garyados"
Gyarados: "ROAR!!!!!!!!!"
Trainer: "use splash"
Gyarados: "herp derp...."

sorry, just brought that to mind
