Probably the most insane idea I've read so far.

The system would be abused. Seriously. Abused. There's enough pressure in the Xbox-community to get your gamerscore high.. and it is kind of sickening (which is why I'm not a part of it). A reward system would increase the pressure. Everyone would go for the games with many achievements, giving them higher gamerscore.

Besides, the gamerscore is an additional feature which shows exactly how little life you've got. It isn't something Microsoft wants to lose money over. Therefore.. this idea is a total no-go.

This would be abused to the fullest extent.
Although MS has planned to let you unlock things for your avatar by getting some acheviements.

Microsoft used this to draw you into the games and buy more games to get a higher score and yet all it does is say I've got more points so im better than you.

Hunters wont be rewarded, whores will. A flawed system indeed.

You have no life achievement? it then resets your gamerscore.

Do people actually think that way? I feel sorry for them if they do.

I like the gamerscore/achievement system the way it is. You aren't missing out on anything if you don't get a lot of points, but it adds a little something extra to the games and gives them replay value.

Well, you could try to think things out before you type. The whole "not being involved in the gamerscore" thing is kind of sad, just because you can't separate yourself from the people who just farm achievements doesn't mean that the entire system is flawed. Some games I don't look at achievements, others I do.. depends on whether or not they're just linear (Oblivion's were kind of weak, it was just basically "get every rank of everything") or have some fun little things to them (can'really really think right now, but you should know what I mean.. games where you have to do little things that are off the beaten path.) In the end, doing it right adds challenge and replayability.
I didn't say that all achievements are bad and should be automatically not implemented. I'm saying that achievementhunting like how it is happening on the xbox.. is kind of crazy. I, myself have gone for several achievements in say.. Team Fortress 2 (93% of all achievements acquired). I put a little prestige in this to be honest, but I enjoy gaming Team Fortress 2, they come naturally for me!

What I wouldn't do.. is to get Hannah Montana: The Movie just for the gamerscore (if I owned a X-box 360). Getting a game, JUST for its achievements. You can't say that isn't wrong. Boys and grown men.. getting Hannah Montana and they play it.. yeah.

i like the idea, the achievements (usually) increase replayability etc, but the whores (like my brother) can easily sway me into not liking it.
he actually bought Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so that he could farm its points and say he's better.

Interesting. My girlfriend had the same idea. For a few months she thought that's why I went out of my way to get achievements; that the points could be turned around to buy new games / content with. I suppose that's why she thought it was okay to buy 30 dollars worth of garbage pop-rock songs in Rock Band. Anyway, like the people above said, the system would be abused and molested... no way they'd want to mess with their profits by testing out a free reward program.

Finally, you should use Firefox EdgeyX. It has built-in spell check. The grammar stuff you'll have to figure out on your own though...

Google Chrome comes with the spell checker as well, I like it. It's not as much of a memory hog and it's pretty minimalist. Good if you're not all anal about collecting add-ons and such.
Or playing the same online matches for the rest of your natural life.
