ix_tab is my oldest internet handle, the one I first picked when I started to talk to people. I'm very attached!

It comes from when I was a weirdo teenager, in love with the beat writers, especially William S Burroughs. And in my favourite Burroughs book, 'Cities of the Red Night', they mention Ix Tab, goddess of people who are hanged, who cuts off the noose and ferries them to the afterlife by it, and she's like a pirate saint.

To 14 year old me, that was golden. And it's stuck with me after all these years. I have a few alternate usernames, but not ones I love like ix_tab.

Back then I used to play warhammer and the doom diver was one of my favourite models... Birthday is July 16th and so doomdiver_16 emerged.

Dark Eagle, my CSS/TF2 name, is based on my alias and actor name, Raven. Sahara is a distant connection to it.
When I tried to form a clan of my own, no-one joined, so I became the One Man Clan for a while.
Voldreya, my KoL name, is from an idea a friend had. We were thinking about creating our own game and the name Voldreya would have been the name of one of the playable races.
