Remember being a kid and it finally being the weekend? You could only imagine what to do with the little break that you had. And most of you may may have had "playing games" somewhere on the list. Spending time figuring out stuff, using secrets and cheats maybe, and getting ecstatic when you finally got a new game. Those were the days.

But now that there are fanboys, trolls, and forums such as these, do you ever think that more emphasis is put on discussing, defending, and attacking games more then it is about actually playing it? I almost sort of think that sometimes. Heck, I'm somewhat proving my point by making a thread about this dilemma, instead of marveling at games like Psychonauts, Portal, and other games I should be playing right now. Though I've been thinking that this issue is really an illusion to me so I want to make sure I'm not the only one thinking this.

If you like games, then I really think that you shouldn't care what other people think. Trolls and fanboys/girls are ignorable.

I'm still excited about buying new games, maybe even more so, because I now pay for them with my own hard earned cash. And that makes me feel good.
