Title says it all, I'm devirginizing my self by hosting a PC LAN party.

Problem is that not many are coming, tops 3 making it 4.

We need games dammit!

So what games are good for a LAN party that involves 4 people, and does not really need internet connection (My internets shitty, so nothing that involves going to a server other then a locally hosted one.)

*Edit*

Suggest some shooters as well please!

Also, if there are 4 people, play L4D.
Is there a way to host it locally and have them all connect to the local server INSIDE the house?

And I have -erm a copy of W3 so that may work.

Same for Starcraft but (don't hurt me =[) I didn't like it.

"You need friends dammit!" more like. :p

Left 4 Dead would be good as it's made for that amount, RTS games such as Starcraft and Company of Heros are good 2v2.

I do not know, I just go to an Internet Café and play with my friends. I guess that means it works.

And I shall not hurt you for not liking Starcraft. That is what Satan will do when you are banished to hell for this unbelievable sin!

L4D. Starcraft. Warcraft 3. Dawn of War (2). Civilisation # if you feel like losing your entire evening.

Rock some 2v2 DotA on WC3.

Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Dawn of War II...Half Life 2: Deathmatch is pretty fun with four people...Borderlands...Yeah, that's all I've got. Definitely worth playing though.

OK so far I'm reccommened StarCraft, CS (I don't have) I DO have CSS but that'll be interesting as it's a pirated version (my disc broke) might be able to set that up...

I think that even if your internet sucks, if everyone is on the same connection, you will still get a just fine ping. But don't quote me.

In addition to L4D, Borderlands is a another excellent coop with LAN support. Sometimes even LAN can be twitchy (Multiplayer is a bit funky connection wise) but worst case scenario, a little fiddling should fix it.

If you wanna kick it old school, Giants Citizen Kabuto is one of the funniest games ever, with hilarious game play, and super cheap off of GoG with no DRM.

Splinter Cell had some awesome multiplayer

Thats it for additional ideas from me, I think.

Between 3-4 is the optimum amount of people at a LAN, at least in my experience anyway.

Hit up some Rainbow Six Vegas 2, its fantastic with three friends.

Why get L4D?L4D2 has come out, also i think you can host a local game, the leader hosts a local server and I think since everyone's near him they'll get low ping.

Also since it's a lan,try and shake it up by playing realism(so you can't see someones outlines when they go behind a wall, like real life)
