So I is programmer, and therefore, i has a linux computer. I play Reach and all that, but when I get the sudden urge to play a game, there is barely any choice because of my OS. Usually i'll just hop onto a private minecraft server, or play a bit of Warcraft 3. But I need a full on game made to run on linux computers.

Any suggestions? Or does gaming on PC now require a Windows OS...?

Don't worry mate, i've already got wine. Doesn't work as well as I hoped, but it does run Warcraft 3!

also world of Warcraft had a linux client at one point during the original alpha :p

dont forget to make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your distribution

if you are unsure do a

lspci | grep VGA

you may have to enable none free repos to get the none free drivers for ait and nvidia

Elder scrolls 1 and 2!
They're free from the elder scrolls website, although you will need dosbox to run them.

If you're on Ubuntu then have a look on the software centre, there's quite a few out there. But windows would be better, so if you can dual boot, you should.

As another roguelike, I also recommend Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup.

Aren't Blizzard games compatible with any OS? If so...any Blizzard game. Hit me up if you buy Wings of Liberty!
