meh I still don't care unless they release the rest of their precious halo on it.

edit: I do think that halo wars would actually do very well on pc as long as they don't just port it and actually fix controls.
Pretty much...I loathe GFWL for the most part, tolerating it for the games that are hitched to the thing, but if they ported the rest of the Halo franchise over I'd probably be a bit more forgiving. Not buying another Xbox 360 after my third RROD, so that would be my only option for playing Reach. Sigh.

Agreed. And hopefully without sounding like I'm beating the same drum over and over, this is a good start, but it could be easily (relatively, anyway) accelerated by porting titles like Alan Wake and the more recent Halo releases - any reasonably big 360 exclusive hit, in other words - to the PC and making them available exclusively through the GFW Marketplace. (Although I'd prefer retail releases too.)

If MS takes shit seriously, it will make a difference. It's just a question of commitment.
Agreed with Alan Wake, but Halo is a pointless endeavor to be porting to PC. It may sell a few units, but the PC FPS market is vastly, vastly beyond Halo. No, this isn't a flame war, simply the truth. The complexity of games like Stalker and Arma 2, make Halo simply unnecessary on PC's. Mediocrity is received just as poorly on PC as it is on console.
There's a market on the PC for Halo....FPSs are a different lot, just like RPGs. I'm an RPG fanatic, but I don't play JRPGs. Likewise, I have no interest in something like ARMA but would love to play Halo on the PC. Agreed on Stalker, though....that's a very well-done hardcore FPS that competes in the same general zone as Halo.

Microsoft is too evil to compete on anything but the Xbox. When the competition is Valve, one of the most gamer-friendly devs out there (ESPECIALLY for PC gamers), you might as well stop trying.
