Videogames are going to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Vote for the titles you want to see representing games as art.

For some discussion value, the titles available for voting are pretty extensive and have gone through a whittling down process, but is there anything you think should be there but isn't on the list?

I don't know squat about video games as art but I do know that Bioshock deserves a mention.

Yeah, seems like it's underwater at the moment. Well worth at least browsing through though. I haven't hit up every section yet but the options I've seen so far are pretty good.

Very disappointing selections for computer games in my opinion. Especially when it comes to genres like strategy. The only two platforms are PC and C64. No arcade at all.

Out of this World, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid are all great games which i consider to be artful and emotionally evocative.

Also Earthworm Jim had great art direction and all the great hand-drawn images of the likes of Sonic and Mario should be included. I love how back in the day we had proper artwork of games characters instead of just in-game graphics on box art as we do now.
