All the jobs I see are for seniors with plenty of experience, or involve skills I don't have. I'm not a good artist and I don't know design or programming. I can't afford to take classes in anything either, but I'd really like to learn the skills necessary to get a job...I don't have a degree but I don't think it matters if you know what you're doing these days.

Well this could be a problem for you since you don't know what you're doing(not trying to sound like a jerk or anything).

From personal experience scholarships and government grants help out a lot. Does your state have some special state funded scholarships? If so look into that.

I live in the state of England, lol. But yeah, there are grants and bursaries and such. They're a pain to apply for but I'm considering attending a degree course in September 2010 so I'll be looking into that.

I have since been given guidance and decided it is a high likelyhood I will be trying to learn design/engineering thanks to a helpful Escapee, it's still kinda open but these seem to be things I would enjoy more.
