Does anyone know of games like famerama or farmville of evony, but they don't take days of time and you can actually sit down and play them for a while and accomplish a lot in a day. I like games like them but i don't have all the time.
SimCity 3000. That's about the only one I can think of.theloneassassin said:Well i mean games where you make cities, like civilization and things like that, but more in detail about the city not the whole country
But more like, you control resources and the cities people and what they do and their jobs.. if you get what i mean, not just planning somethingLost In The Void said:Perhaps an old Sim City game then?
Well i don't care about the city aspect that much, i only really want a life simulator that does not take so long.Lost In The Void said:Play the Sims on one computer and Sim City on the other and pretend they're the same game at once? Really thats the only thing I could think of; there aren't any games that I know of that are both a life simulator and a city builder
hmm things like that sound good, know any more non browser based life sim games?Noebahde said:Monster Rancher is the only thing that comes to mind the fourth in the series allows you to customize your ranch with special buildings and training equipment.
Tropico 3theloneassassin said:But more like, you control resources and the cities people and what they do and their jobs.. if you get what i mean, not just planning something
Well not every person but you know control groups of people and their jobs and what not.StellarViking said:The Sim City games are a great choice, also try the Civilization series. Also, just saying 'cause they're my personal favorites, if you're looking for a more military focus, try the Age of Empires series (Age of Empires II: The Conquerors expansion is my favorite by far.)
It'll be difficult to find a game that manages what every single person does like that, though, and I wish you luck in your search.
SimCity is not the end all be all of city-building games.theloneassassin said:Does anyone know of games like famerama or farmville of evony, but they don't take days of time and you can actually sit down and play them for a while and accomplish a lot in a day. Dude you need some Tropico.theloneassassin said:Well i mean games where you make cities, like civilization and things like that, but more in detail about the city not the whole country
I remember those, and I'm a young'n who's first console was an original Xbox. Used to play Pharaoh and Caesar 3 all the time, and played around with a demo of Lords of Magic. Never heard of Zeus or Emperor, better check those out.Vern5 said:Look up some of Sierra's old works like Caesar 3, Pharaoh, Zeus and Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. Each of these games is a city-building game within different eras of human history. While they mostly play the same, there are special distinctions between them. See if you can find them on GoG. I can vouch for each of them being decent city-builders, you just need to decide which one you like best.
On the other hand, if you want an agricultural game, then try out Harvest Moon and its many incarnations, including Rune Factory, which is the Fantasy version of Harvest Moon.
Can't believe nobody on here remembers the Sierra city-builder series. Makes me feel old.
