Games Night

Hi everybody
Me and my friends have decided to have a games night every week, as we figure we don't play together enough, plus it's an awesome way to finish the week. The thing is,I need some games to play multiplayer as most of the games I have are single player. I need some help finding some awesome mulitplayer co-op or competitive games to play. Consoles aren't a problem. Please Help!

Castle Crashers and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game might be good for a giggle, plus I don't think they cost that much.
Some of the mainstream games might be pretty good too, like Halo: Reach and Gears of War 2.

Borderlands would be perfect if you want a game to play regularly, but if you're looking for games to play once or twice then move on, I'd give it a miss.

TF2 on the computer. Boom - you'll have fun for the rest of the night.

SC could be fun if you have an original copy - spawn them on all the PCs and you're all set.

Gears of War 2 horde mode can be pretty frantic and fun.

L4D/L4D2 if you have friends who like that kind stuff, on realism (L4D2) is amazing late at night.

The Rockband games are pretty damn fun, though the whole bundle might be a little pricey.Left 4 Dead can be pretty fun even if you can only do split screen co-op off line. Super Smash Bros Melee is also a ton of fun and it's fun to watch some of the bullshit luck some people have.

If you have a Wii, Super Smash Bros. or Mario Kart would be good.
Any decent fighting game makes for some good multiplayer havoc.
Sports games are tailor-made for multiplayer - if you all share a favorite sport, give that a go.
Definitely second the GH / Rockband idea.

From what I've seen, shooters for consoles aren't generally MP-friendly unless you're online.

Borderlands has (I've heard) good co-op action.
