Right. Have you ever had a night, say a weekend, where you bought some stuff (like drinks, snacks or whatever) and got ready for a long night of pure gaming indulgence?

I'm having on tonight. 1000 ml of Diet coke, my feet up on the sofa and Fallout New Vegas in front of me.

Now, for something more interesting. If you had a night to yourself, one system (PC, PS3, Xbox, wii) and up to 3 games to play and a £30/$46/?36 budget, how would you spend your game night? (If I haven't listed the currency of you country then I apologize)

Also, I'm not sure if this thread has already been done but I did check on the search bar

Dude, I already did it. Me and my friend played Halo 1-3 throughout the evening, night, and then the next day. Played through the entire campaign, in order.

It was GLORIOUS!

Though New Vegas is also a very good choice. Though you'll still have a shitload of stuff to do in that game even if you played it for a week straight.

I usually do it at a friend's house with multiplayer games, but turns out to be annoying when the simplist of shooters couldn't figure out that maybe more than 2 player split-screen support might've been helpful.

I choose the Wii(I'm not crazy) and Super Smash Bros.(see?) and do what we always do. Screw shooter split-screen, SMASH BROS. AWAY!

Almost all my weekends of the past 4 months have centred around keeping myself awake while doing various degrees of cooperative gaming marathons. Once I spent a night playing Guild Wars on my laptop, with a flimsy headset for Skype communication's in a hotel room, only to realize I have to catch a flight in 2 hours, piss drunk to boot from the 3 shots of whiskey and bottle of wine that kept my company.

The trip to the airport was mostly spent with my nose flat against a window.

Hey, it was worth it! Like you said in the PM you sent me two hours later when you woke up...after you'd said all the parts about "Fuck you, i've had 2 hours sleep!"

I am the person usually keeping the above person up on weekends, our current record sits at 17hrs Which involved almost all of Halo: Reach, a couple of Killing Floor rounds and ending the night with Guild Wars I believe. I think the next record break will be Diablo 3, perhaps before. *grins*

Also, it's been more like 6 months, god damn you!

Only once I have stayed up all night, playing games. And let me tell you.....

IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME

I only played one match of Operation Flashpoint that night. Yes, that one match lasted over 7 hours.

I've tried to get my friends to do one game night, but with no luck. For now...

Dedicate an entire night to it? Only once, at a LAN party. Stay up til the wee hours gaming? All the flipping time. I'm more likely to do the snacks and drinks thing with a movie night than a game night, though -- that is unless my roommates and I are having friends over for a night of split-screen multiplayer and general debauchery.

I damn well hope you won't make Diablo 3 a comrade only thing, because I want in on that. Fuck Boredlands.

Also, Brink will be fun- hopefully :3

I often do this when I near the end of a long game.
I get some beers in the fridge and some frozen pizzas and I don't go to sleep till I've sat through the ending credits. I got a job and weekend nights are pub nights so I don't often do this. So if said ending sucks, I'm all the more pissed off.

But killing off a hard end boss at 3 AM is awesome.

Tons of times. Though if I have the time to plan, I tend to play table-top games with some friends. If we're limited to video games it'd probably be some sort of multiplayer console games. Wii has several fun options. I only play single player games to pass time when I'm bored basically, although some games (like Fallout: New Vegas) has kept me playing for a lot longer than I wished to.
