Didn't they say "starhawk" was also a sequel to "warhawk"?

Oh well, they're only sequels. So long as quality keeps up, I don't care much.
More of a "spiritual sequel", but shut up! Don't make it even sadder than it is now :<
If those count, add Dark Souls to the list. Bamco and From have been very insistent that it's not a sequel (even though it totally is). Pretty sure Kingdoms of Amalur is an original IP too.

Also, were Gravity Daze and Dragon's Crown shown off at E3? I figured they'd be there with the PSV announcement but they weren't covered on this site.

I was going off what this list was having, but yes, Dark Souls looks great.

Ah, sorry, I just assumed it was there. Haven't gone through all the pages yet.

Is this just an issue for me or are you guys getting some very interesting results from the 'next' button. I thought 37 was after 36 but no, apparently 34 is (just an example. Often the next button sends you back two pages).

Ok guys (and girls). Now this is just getting silly.
The number 1 is almost out of my browser window and I'm already in full screen. O_O

Ghost Recon looks/sounds like it's just a mesh of existing shooters. A bit like Crysis without the characteristic suit.
Which is bad. I lost interest in this series after playing through the first game of it I bought (GRAW) and it seems I won't regret that choice.
Unless it dispenses cats and harps, it'll go by unnoticed by me.

Tomb Rider's rendered environments look fantastic, at the beginning I was confused whether I misclicked and was watching a live action adaptation. But then I saw Lara...
Anyway, still looks nice, but really... another dark/grim reboot? The only good one I remember was Rayman 2, tho it sorta emphasized the charm... also, nostalgia glasses.
Since a reboot leaves many options, I have mixed feelings about it. I think the last Tomb Raider I picked up was the remake of the first one since it came for free with my computer/graphics card. It did seem like it could use some spice.
Will wait for reviews.

Metro stays ominous, but I guess that's part of the appeal. The first game was very solid, cheesy sometimes, but immersive when it needed to be. I have a good feeling about this one, tho there's always space to improve AND screw up. Will wait for reviews.

Prototype 2 looks/sounds/reads like a big gamble. Not sure if want, will definitely wait until more concrete details about the gameplay and story are released. It seems a bit like the Publisher was enforcing the sequel hook and the devs don't really know what to do now.

Rayman: Origins is yet another remake of the original series (I once got a cheap Collector's edition that contained like 3 remakes or add-ons or something of the original game, all official of course), which is boring, but it looks like a fun jump'n'run altogether. I'll wait for reviews tho, despite my nostalgia glasses. The rabbit minigames kinda killed the franchise for me. Optional minigames ála Rayman 3 are okay, but I need a good campaign.

Rest looks uninteresting to me, personally. Infinite looks like it'll try to merge BioShock 2 and 1 with a bit more character-driven story and a different setting, but I think BioShock 1 is all I needed - so unless the gameplay is AMAZING I'll probably stay away from it. Same goes for most of the long-running franchises listed that have found their spot and probably won't move from it, so they're mostly unattractive for me (either because I don't think more of the same I liked is necessary or because I already know this and that franchise just isn't for me).

So yeah, looks quite bleak to me. I'll probably get Human Revolutions tho, looks well put together and the reviews of the "unofficial demo" were decent. Not a must-buy for me tho.

That should be fixed, and I agree that it was silly.

I couldn't help but notice that the entire top 2/3 of the page were sequels or reboots (bar 2 games). The last bit reassured me a little that creativity hasn't vanished from the world.

Journey looks as incredible as it did when I first saw it previewed, that is one indie development I can't wait to acquire

They forgot to put in Insomniac's new IP [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.289643-E3-Ratchet-Clank-Devs-Meld-Guns-Gadgets-and-Jokes-in-Overstrike], by the way (really, Escapist? 4-player, high-tech, black ops Insomniac IP, and you forgot?! I am disappoint). Hopefully that cheers you up; it sure made my day! :D
We didn't forget. These writeups cover games we actually saw in demonstration. We didn't include small glimpses shown in press conferences.

Then my sincerest apologies for my misinterpretation.

At any rate, I feel a similar sense of dissatisfaction with lack of variety in the lineup. Hopefully next year's demonstrations will prove more enticing than this years.

I guess World of Tanks were just not seen. Strange as they won the best booth award and had actual tanks parked outside :D
