I'm going with Crypt of the Necrodancer for a odd nomination for GOTY. I have 105 hours in fallout 4 and only 10 in Crypt but it really feels like a breath of fresh air which is really rare for me these days.

I would say worst game of the year would be Arkham Knight (atleast the pc version) They released it in an unplayable state that was just unacceptable, took it off sales to fix it and then released it a few months later with only slightly less issues than it has on first release. While at the same time put resources into making payed DLC.

For most disappointing I would say Fallout 4, now while i like this game It's just such a let down from bethesda as we know they can do better.

How is Arkham Knight not on the worst list?! It still doesn't work!
The console versions work as intended. It's the PC version that sucks. A game that works fine on two platforms can't really be called a bad game because it sucks on one. The developer and the publisher can be called shit for it though.

Well, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Yakuza 5 aren't out yet so I won't be choosing my GOTY till 2016.

Worst game I've played...I dunno. Dragonball Xenoverse maybe? I didn't really play much. Just messed around in the character creator and then got bored.
so you basically didn't play any games that came out this year?
I played a lot. Just few from this year. The first half of the year I don't remember playing any games worth mentioning. Second half I only played MGSV and FO4. Fallout is poop, MGSV was great, but like I said, there are two other games coming out before the end of the year that I'm anticipating.

I didn't play Witcher 3 because I didn't like 1 or 2 and I didn't play Bloodborne because I don't have a PS4. I'm not going to claim GOTY for games I never played and it's not my fault theres been like 5 noteworthy games released in 2015.
I don't care if you played a lot of games this year. I was asking if you played a lot from this year (game that came out in 2015). Which you admit to.

Albino Lullaby: Haven't seen too many people talk about it, but it's not often that I'm able to praise a horror game for being genuinely surreal and ominous without the need for gore or jump scares.

Bloodborne: In regards to its quick combat and stylistic setting. Not as diverse and expansive as Dark Souls, but it still left me satisfied.

SOMA: Did an interesting job of being an existential crisis generator. Doesn't carry the same fear factor as Amnesia, but I still enjoyed the writing and atmosphere.

Tales from the Borderlands: Went from a story I didn't think I'd care for at all, to being one of my favorite of Telltale's lineup.

Undertale: Best if you go in blind without huge expectations, but there's a real charm to it.

Still need to play Her Story. And I want to mention Witcher 3, but I think I'll need some vacation time before I get further than the surface of the second area.

Don't think I have a worst of the year honestly. Though I've avoided Battlefront after hearing that it has less features than its predecessors.

Comparing Undertale to AAA games is like comparing a short by an animation student to a Michael Bay film. Both leave you with an impact, though one stays closer to your heart because one is closer to heart.
Heh, that about sums up how I feel about Undertale being put in the same nomination group as all the other potential games of the year. It's nice that it got enough recognition to be compared to big contenders, but its odd categorizing them together.
