While I totally love the game, I'm not sure where it leaves room for a sequel. Even the combat seemed almost superlative to me. However, if they came up with enough ideas for an Oboromuramasa 2, I'd be the first to pre-order.GZGoten said:Muramasa The Demon Blade
Respectfully disagree with TWEWY. Yes, more of it would be awesome but the story wrapped up fine without need for sequel.Innegativeion said:I've heard tell of Atlus wanting to make a franchise out of Persona fighting games. Granted how much fun I had with Arena, I'd be all for it.
The World Ends With You DEFINITELY needs a sequel... in the same way Squeenix needs more *consistently* high quality 1st party RPG franchises. I'm sure for those people who enjoyed playing in the FF XIII universe twice, soon to be three times, that was all well and dandy. Personally, I'd like to tear up some noise with psyches again.
We have a winner!ShinyCharizard said:That would definitely be Vanquish. I would love to eventually see a sequel to that game.
While Neku, Saki, and Beat's stories have pretty definitively been concluded, yes, the next game doesn't necessarily have to surround them at all, assuming the rules of the UG apply to the entire TWEWY world and not just Shibuya, there are TONS of avenues left to explore in TWEWY's world, especially if you read up on it in the secret reports.mysecondlife said:Respectfully disagree with TWEWY. Still not convinced. Yeah, I assume they'll go with new characters and whole different world. But they already had misanthropic character in Neku trying to make through the Reaper game. I get a feeling that even if they have new characters, they won't have distinct characteristics from the original game. Also, how much different could other avenues be from Shibuya besides different landmarks?Innegativeion said:While Neku, Saki, and Beat's stories have pretty definitively been concluded, yes, the next game doesn't necessarily have to surround them at all, assuming the rules of the UG apply to the entire TWEWY world and not just Shibuya, there are TONS of avenues left to explore in TWEWY's world, especially if you read up on it in the secret reports.mysecondlife said:Respectfully disagree with TWEWY. Especially considering
,The TWEWY solo mix secret ending screen shows a new character along with the "7 new days" teaser
Squeenix is probably going to go this route (same world, new characters) eventually anyway. Question just remains; how long are they going to put the poor franchise on the bus while they make more FF XIII sequels?
I also desire a Dishonored sequel. Although, I don't want it to star Corvo. As great as he is, I feel satisfied with his story and believe that it is complete. It could be set in another part of the city or even in a different time period.wintercoat said:I would love to see more games set in the world of Dishonored. They seemed to go to great lengths fleshing out certain parts of the lore, such as The Abbey of the Everyman, but used so little of it.
I don't know that I'd like to see a sequel to Mirror's edge without combat, especially after playing Zeno Clash Ultimate. My point being that we need more First Person games with brawler elements in them that work. Once you got used to it, the combat in Mirror's Edge was ok. I thought the story was fine for the game.Raggedstar said:Mirror's Edge sequel would be interesting to see. Clean up the controls, either improve upon or toss away the combat, and make the story less shitty and then we'll have a game.
Although technically not a "current gen title" (since it's roots are in the PS2), I would like to see a Ratchet and Clank game in the Future format (I would prefer it, but they don't NEED to continue directly from ACIT). The Future games held a quirky-yet-dramatic plot quite well despite the franchise's history with purely light-hearted, episodic kind of games on the PS2. What I DON'T want to see are games that cater to the mutliplayer and toss singleplayer in the bin, realize they need it to fool the old solo fans, and barely dust it off.
Other than that then Walking Dead for sure, but that's already confirmed.
