Just a quick question. Does anyone know of any games set in dublin or includes it in some way? I did some looking around and i cant find any. I would find this kinda surprising considering the global interest in it as a place to visit. Half the people I've talked to from outside of ireland have always told me that they would love to visit it. Seems sensible to make a game where its a destination. Gotta say, i would love to play a prototype style game jumping from rooftop to rooftop over dublin castle and on down to christ church.

I don't think I've heard of such a game, but I'd hardly call it surprising. The out-of-the USA games, that are set in modern day this world, aren't really that many and that diverse. There are a few in London, I think some in Paris (or they just pass through, I recall seeing the Eiffel tower) there as probably a some set in China Honk Kong/Beijing or something and some Japanese games, set in Japan (say, Yakuza).

Dublin may be a great torist destination but a great place to set a game it ain't. At least following the pattern games have set so far. There are other great tourist destinations all over the world, and yet, you hardly visit any.

Ehhhh....no one really wants to go to Ohio. It's a place where you're from, not that you go to.

The only game I can remember where you go to Ireland is Broken Sword, which is a point and click adventure game, but I'm fairly sure it wasn't Dublin since it was a small town.

I can't think of any.
But then again, I can't think of a single game that has even a little part set in Finland.
Okay, in Paradox Interactive's grand strategy games Finland is usually a country, but then again, they have every single country in the face of the planet.
EDIT: OH, I thought of something! I'm pretty sure Dublin is among the pre-named cities in at least one Civilization.
Me, a Finland fanboy? Never.

Apart from a programmer friends course project which is set in dublin, no I don't think there is.

It's a mario-esque platformer, where he leaves his house to get to college, but needs to dodge "homeless" people, junkies, D4s and disgruntled bus drivers, and pick ups include coffee, energy drinks, sandwiches and coupons. It was purely tongue in cheek with not much going for it.

To be honest, modern Ireland is a boring ass place to base a game (or even part of a game)... unless its some sort of simulator.
