Ok I was discussing with a friend The Sims and he made a valid point that the sims is much funner when cheating, which got me thinking, which other games are funner with cheats. I came up with 2 obvious ones.

GTA: Seriously, Flying cars, unlimited ammo, invunrability, spawn tank. All these cheats (from before GTA IV) are awesome. If you can't have fun with them,well you haven't a soul.

Football Manager: I know not everyone is a fan of these games and to be honest trying to get a crap team like darlington into the premiership is both time consuming and soul crushing. But the editor (essentialy a cheat engine) allows you to edit anything want Rooney in your team? Do it. Want the 1966 world cup winning england team to manage? Fair game. Want to create a team filled with Norse Gods? Go for it. The possibilities are nigh endless.

Anyway other than TLDNR Please feel free to leave your comments.

Age of Empires, when I can't really be bothered or don't have time for a full game, I just whack in a few cheats and annihilate everyone.

Yeah definately the Sims and GTA, those were the ones on my mind when I clicked on the topic. Can't think of many more.. Sim City I suppose. Sometimes RTS games can be a little more fun if you start with a bit of an advantage but in most cases it's not actually a cheat. It's been a while since I used cheats.

Vampire: The Masquerade. It's hellish trying to beat that game without the cheats.

Hm, maybe Prototype, Bionic Commando and most Sandbox games...

And naturally, the Porno ones too...

I discovered a few weeks ago that noclip makes Left 4 Dead hilarious. When the horde tries to chase you, they will indeed run right off the roof to their doom.

Freedom Fighters was always more fun with cheats due to nailgun mode (enemies you kill go flying and stick to objects)

Nothing like sticking a commie to the ceiling by his ass

[HEADING=1]All of them[/HEADING]

I hate how some games just don't bother putting in cheats when they're so bloody fun to mess about with.

To me, having the Action Replay DS is essential to my enjoyment of SoulSilver... how else would I ever be able to walk through walls, have my level 100 flying Pikachu, and steal other trainer's pokemon? (and it never gets old fighting a Rocket grunt, stealing their crap pokemon for the hell of it, then having them talk to me after the battle and tell me I should be using my power for evil, to which I respond "I just stole your pokemon, sucka! I am using my power for evil!")

and for the record, I named my character Zeus and the Feraligatr that follows me around Godzilla... so I am a god that walks through walls with Godzilla behind me... tell me that would not be awesome!

There was a Medal of Honour game where you could give the enemy giant funny hats. It was hilarious as you just saw a troop of Pineapples, fried Eggs, and Top Hats over a wall.

Warcraft 3,so that some of the missions are actually possible for an average player. Not a big RTS fan but really wanted to see the awesome story to its conclusion. Just found it too bloody difficult.
