now, and I'm sure many of you will agree with me when I say that when it comes to games, graphics aren't everything when it comes to how "pretty" or pleasing to the eye a game is. For example, metroid prime looks a lot better (at least in my opinion) than gears of war (which, is kinda monochromatic, if you know what I mean). So what do you think of as the game with the best art direction/graphics/whatever makes a game look good.
Personally I'd go with Bioshock, because it manages to balance looking realistic with being colorful and stylized, making it look like an art deco painting come to life. no small feat in my book. well that or metroid prime, because the alien places you visit are so varied and different, yet all had a unifying feel to them

I'm going to say Final Fantasy X.
The part where you walk down that road to Zanarkand just made my jaw drop the first time I saw it and every time after that.

I really like the art direction that Kingdom Hearts uses. Which has also been used in Crisis Core and Dissidia and works really good. I like the vibrant and "anime" look to it as it gives the game a lot of character and is just generally pleasing for the eyes.

Dragon Age: Origins

...

...ha, gotcha. That game looks like orangey donkey shit smeared onto broken manikins being used as string puppets .

Arkham Asylum was wonderfully designed and very beautiful.

Far Cry 2 was also gorgeous to look at.

Mirrors Edge looks fantastic even though I don't really like it..

The Sonic games (Pre Adventure) also look very colorful along with the Donkey Kong Country games.

Morrowind.

Yes, I'm dead serious. Did you ever look up at the night sky and not get a warm fuzzy feeling?

Is citing Flower as an example too easy? That game was jaw-droppingly gorgeous in terms of both sound and aesthetics. Everything by Thatgamecompany is.

Sonic Unleashed.

Yeah, we all know the game sucked (trust me, I tried to play it), but I still hold a firm belief that this game has some of the most underrated visuals of all time. They were some of the most vibrant, colorful visuals I had ever seen in a game, and they were a treat to my eyes.

Too bad the game sucked.

Killzone 2 was pretty and fun though I'd admit it was mostly greys covered with crimson red and the art was probably taken from WW2's Nazis. The explosions and effects were beautiful and if you shot a guy in the foot. The game did make grey look actually good unlike Gears...

Yeah, that was a pretty nice moment. For myself, I'm going to have to say Flower. All of it. That game was so special.

And now for something completely different, how on earth do you have more than 10,000 posts? I mean, do you intend to share the time machine you obviously use to manage it, or are you just going to keep it all to yourself?

Assassins Creed (1 or 2 it doesn't matter) wwas beautiful. I would also say Bioshock because I hav been playing that recently but you have already said that. Brutal Legend, although is not the best looking by a long way but is original with it's "Heavy Metal" look.

I thought the Metroid Prime Series had some amazing visuals.
The style of the Environments mixed with the creatures and atmosphere made it a great game to play and just look at.
And the music just made it even better.
Phandrana Battle and the Menu Theme from MP 1 are two of my favorite songs from the game.

See, now you're lying. That's bad. I'm gonna find that machine, and when I do, I'm going to go back in time to when you lied to me just now, and in the tradition of my family friends, beat you unconcious with a frozen chicken. There. That's what you get for lying.

A concussion.
