OP talked about gameplay being "poorly designed" so probably I'm going slightly off-topic but the type of game I like watching not playing, I realized recently, is what Yahtzee called "walking to the right" games.
Limbo/Inside, Little Nightmares
I played Limbo and Little Nightmares but it is just walking and these weird environmental puzzles. And I have trouble with the puzzles sometimes, I miss seeing something because it's dimly lit or some weird physics platforming where I don't know if what I'm trying is not working because I'm doing it wrong or just wasting my time trying to do the wrong thing.
But the story setting and art are so cool I wanna see what happens!
So I tried Inside recently, gave up half-way through and watched the rest on youtube. And that's what I'm gonna do with Little Nightmares 2- just watch it at some point.
