post any game you liked, loved, or thought had potential, which was slaughtered by critics, perhaps not that drastically, but enough to ensure the watcher doesnt buy the game.

I'll go with Odin Sphere [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odin_Sphere], Shinobi [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinobi_%28PlayStation_2%29], Okami [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okami] and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lament_of_Innocence]

All games that I'd rank in my top 10 of all time.

Trapt, PS2. Reviewers seemed to give it 2 or 3 negative points for the camera control and lack of story. But it was just pure fun, and those things did not take away from that. Oh, and how does Eternal Darkness fit into "under rated." The only folks who didn't recognize it's goodness were console-haters who never played it.

The conflict series before the most recent one. Ya the games weren't very good but if you played it with a friend co-op style it at least didn't suck. A lot of good memories tied into those games.

Tomba :3

I always remembered it being a bit average in my childhood, but since playing it recently it's actually really fun and well made. For once nostalgia is working against me xD

Project Zero Series largely seems to go unnoticed and there by far my favorite Survival Horror's in fact now with a PS2 Slim on the way I can finally lay my hands on Project Zero 3: The Tormented!

damnit now I want to play them again!!! >.>

Edit: Oh for the Americans here Its Fatal Frame the European name was Project Zero... Personally you got the better name LOL

The Sam and Max games on steam. Not sure if that counts though.

Mirror's Edge I think got a bad shake. I thought that the platforming worked well and was plenty functional. That, and it had artistically intelligent architecture and a well conceived soothing soundtrack. Didn't like the animation though; they should of kept it in game. It didn't have the worse story I ever heard. Largely, The hammering it got from critics was undeserved. People complain that the guns don't work well, but really, it's not about fighting. It probably will be looked back on negatively at first, but so was Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, Evil Dead, and Beethoven

Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines. I mean, sure, it's gotten moderate steam as a cult hit, but both initial sales and reviews were rather mediocre. Which is a pity; it's a game with some technical flaws, but the storyline and dialogue is absolutely stunning. Troika Games deserved better.
