I ask you, Escapists, are there any games that are as good as everyone say they are and deserve all the hype that they get? No more, no less?

My vote goes to Colosseum: Road to Freedom. It was a poor game (not terrible, but poor). It's reviews stated just that. It blipped on the radar when it came out but has hardly made a ripple since.

Oh, and no poll because I'm expecting some wildly different answers.

Batman AA, that deserves it's place as the best comic book to game, It's one of the few games I regret getting rid of and holy shit it was fun beating up an entire room on the arcade mode.

Aside from that, i'd personally say Battlefield Bad Company 2, I think thats a very good game, and deserved it's decent scores.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. It is just as bad as everyone says it is.

Mario Kart 64. Everyone seems to think that it's a fun game to play with friends and it is.
