In Banjo Tooie the big fish that serves as the boss in the Jolly Roger Lagoon level. At the time I stupidly thought it would be the easiest jiggy ever(as the jiggy just hangs there before you initially) but boy was I wrong I swam closer and *BAM* that giant freaky fish appeared I ran from the room and promptly wet myself. But then I went back and fought him as the submarine and torpedoed his ass to hell and laughed while he was left hanging there upside down sans jiggy.

That aside exploring the other vaults and my first run in with a Deathclaw in Fallout 3 were quite frightening.

In this Army Man game, there was a setting that made everyone who died turn back into a zombie that came down from the top of the screen and killed your soldiers. I accidentally turned it on when I was like 7 or 8, and it scared the shit out of me when I heard these moaning noises from nowhere and saw a bunch of zombies coming for my guys.

Now I play Left 4 Dead. Funny how these things work out...

The fish-like monsters in serious Sam and I really don?t understand why they did nothing to your health but I was terrified whenever I entered the water

Kinda sad, but when I first played Metroid Prime 2... the zombie type things at the beginning scared me... but, back then pretty much everything scared me... Oh, and then I downloaded the FEAR demo, played it at 10pm, all the lights off, home alone... big mistake. >_>

Warcraft 3. Never know if I'm going to win or waste an hour and end up with less than when I started.

The Oasis, too!
I never really found Oasis scary at all. I did find it hilarious how the whole thing was bashing Christianity (and possibly other religions too) the entire time though.

Well I didn't think Thief: Deadly Shadows was meant to be scary.

That was until I reached the Shalebridge Cradle.

Oblivion when I went into my first cave. The dark surroundings and creepy music still puts me on edge sometimes.
Yeah, this happens to me too. It doesnt help that the creatures sound freaky as well.
I have a slight problem with Oblivion caves. They make me really anxious. You see I love underground areas, but they have to be cold and calming, like concrete. The earthy tunnels in Oblivion are hell for me.

Now that sounds fun. I think I played Mario Kart while on mushrooms once. It didn't make a whole lot of sense.
I played Civ 3 while shrooming once and I started weeping because, my god, us humans are so amazing, you know, as a species.

Looks like Fallout 3 scares a good amount of people. The deathclaw lair I can understand but the Gary vault? I could kill 3 Garys in one VATS phase using my weakest weapon, I think Gary became more scared of me :). The deathclaws are at least a challenge since they are both fast and strong and really hard to sneak by.

While I don't recall myself being scared by a game, my brother in-law gets freaked out in that one part in the first Bioshock where you first enter Rapture and that Spider splicer guts that dude and screams really loud. Though I do admit I jumped a bit when I first heard that.

Final Fantasy X. That one scene I've been trying to repress. It was horrifying.

Why won't it stop laughing!?!?

Half-Life. That fish... oh my god that fish. To this day I fear all water in the Half-Life universe.

When I was younger, I used to be absolutely terrified by simply the sound of manhacks in Half-Life 2. I guess they are probably meant to be somewhat scary, but my reaction was just completely out of proportion. I started looking around frantically, getting really afraid.

In Oblivion, I get nervous when the battle music starts to play and I have no idea where my enemies are.
