So I finished trying out Fallout 3 and I thought it was awesome. I go to some of the main retailers to buy a copy like walmart, future shop (canadian version of best buy) but no such luck. Then I go to the pawn shops to find a used cpy and there are none. I dnot' get it, the game is extremly popular and of high quality. Anyway what are some of your stories about elusive games.

The Orange Box. I can only find it online. That's not true..I found a used copy in Xtravision, but it looked a bit..dishevelled.

Grim Fandango and the original Monkey Island games seem to elude me, however this problem should be solved shortly if the Lucas Arts deal with Steam goes well.

I went to Gamestop to look for the Orange Box on PC. They only had it on 360. The only PC games from the Box were one of the Half-Life 2 episodes and Team Fortress 2. Both were about 40 dollars, even though you can get the game off of Steam for that much. I can't find it in any stores whatsoever.

Damn, ninja'd

For the longest time, I was looking for a copy of Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis for GBA. I read that it was a great rpg, so I looked through all of the stores, before eventually finding it in a bargain bin at some nearly run down game store for $10.

I'm a collector, I constantly spend much time and money (unfortunately) on my hobbies. The hardest games to find were Loom enhanced version (PC), Lunar 1+2 (PS1)and 'Rhapsody' (PS1).

Bare in mind that I live in Europe. I had to find and import all of them 15-5 years after their releases.

I've seen the orange box all over the place, both versions. In GAME it had an entire row to itself.
Fallout 3 eluded me as well. I ordered a copy off Play as a present from my parents and it never turned up. The website said, "Out of Stock, new stock in within the next 10 days" and it still says that 7 months on. I cancelled my order and sourced a copy form a friend who didnt like it. And after all that i didnt like it either.

I cannot find a physical copy of TF2. I've tried a bunch of different shops and none of them had it. I shall continue my search, however!

There was Disgaea, I did play the game that a friedn lent me, but I wanted to gt my own copy and it was hard. No shop seemed to carry it and I just couldn't get past the bid snipers on ebay. But now I have a PSP and the port they made so it is all good :p

No game has ever evaded me. I have eBay and a resurfacing machine on my side.
I have used ebay to get a few things, but I really don't like it. Necessary evil and all that.

Yeah, they're releasing a remastered version of Secrets of Monkey Island on the fifteenth, with an option to turn the enhanced graphics off so it looks like it did sixteen-or-so years ago, and hopefully they'll do the same for Grim Fandango at a later date.

No game can "evade" anybody. If you are writing this you have an Internet connection, as such, everything is possible.

Shadow of the Colossus is the only one that ever evaded me. It was impossible to find when it came out.

I had to fight through hell and high water (It's summer in Florida after all) to get my hands on this.

This too.

It took me about 2 months for me to find my copy of Shin Megami Tensi: Persona 4.
I'm still on the search for it,I've heard it's on sale at most game stops for about 20-30 dollars but haven;t found it,it's on amazon but I don't want to blow 40+ bucks on it yet as I still needed to Finish the Answer and both DDS

I cannot find Disgaea for the PSP for the life of me. I saw it ONCE long ago just before I got my PSP and could never find it again. I don't have a credit card so no online shopping for me, but god damn it's like searching for the holy grail. Crimson Gem Saga almost escaped my grasp but I seem to have snagged the last existing copy in my town or something.

went through a lot a trouble to get a working copy of this. Then it turned out to pretty much suck. (wasn't even able to beat it because it's really glitchy. Made it to Nihilanth but once I finally made it to the part when its head opens up, every round, grenade, etc. just passed through it.)

I've had a hard time trying to find Knights of the Old Republic on PC. Well, it is available on Amazon but it's expensive. That, plus the fact that I get conflicting information about whether it even runs on Vista, means I have to wait. It's kind of ironic in that I live in Edmonton, which is where Bioware is located.
