In short millions of dollars were lost in the scrapping of a harvest moon game, but why, the games are relatively simple, how bad could it have been?
anyway any games you excited about just get canned

I don't know if it was ever in serious development, but Metal Arms: Glitch in the System totally set itself up for a sequel, ending on a cliffhanger no less, and the sequel never came. I'm sad. That game was totally original.

I was rather sad to never see a sequel to Advent Rising. I thoroughly enjoyed that game.

I'm not sure what ever happened with it, but Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy was badass, and was totally set up for a sequel, but I can't find anything about a sequel in the works.

There was a Legacy of Kain game due in 2008 We never saw it

beyond good and evil 2 its not canceled per-say but i haven't seen any new info so who knows

Legacy of Kain was a great game. Shame they never made a sequel. And never can now, really.



And on a more personal level, there was a TCG/boardgame I was designing together with two others. Think Warhammer (purely in terms of it being a minutuare-based boardgame where you murderise the opposition) meets Magic, more or less. I was quite happy with how it turned out, and had everything more or less finished. 200 cards (or was it 250? Been ages), a few maps, rules sorted out, everything was ready, more or less.

Then came playtesting. Everyone who volunteered - this being online, mind - vanished or bowed out. And that was the end of that.
