Xbox - Mass Effect 1 and 2. Bioware RPG with FPS elements? Nice...

PS3 - Uncharted 2. The gameplay was phenomenal. Through the puzzles, shooting, running and jumping. It was all so seamless I never got bored. Plus - BEAUTIFUL!

PC - Blizzard Games. I still play Starcraft and Diablo II. It's fun to just have a LAN party with Blizzard games...

Nintendo - Super Smash Bros. I've always hated fighting games, till I could use Mario to beat up any other character in the Nintendo universe. Quite satisfying...

Day of the Tentacle : I actually think this is the perfect game. I love pretty much all Lucasarts adventures.

Earthbound : You'll have heard me talk about this game before. Well, it is the second perfect game. I love it to bits. I played it five times over the span of 2.5 months. I'm holding out on getting an adapter so I can play it on my PAL SNES and the wait is unbearable.

Timesplitters series : A nearly infinite amount of play time.

Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf : A brilliant, inventive puzzling platformer.

Bugs 'n' Taz Time Busters : Best. Co-op. Ever. And hilarious.

DooM 2 : I used to play it daily.

Monkey Island 2 : I was bought this game a few months back and cried for the rest of the afternoon.

Super Mario All-Stars : The nicest, happiest, most nostalgic game collection. I had the pleasure of it being the first game I ever played.

Team Fortress 2 (360) : Come home from school - play. I never got bored of it, despite only having six maps and being as buggy as Hell. I find it a 'purer' multiplayer experience than the PC version. However, the class update came out and my patience started to thin.

Unreal Tournament : I will never uninstall this.

Quake 3 : Same as the above.

War§ow : The first skill based online FPS I genuinely loved. I remember meeting server regulars, learning how to strafe jump from nice people as I was getting lost on race maps, steamrolling n00bs, face, WDM2 and Padpork.

OpenArena : Equally important for me as War§ow. OA_SAGO 2 is THE greatest map ever.

Super Mario Land : I was lent this game for several months in primary school. I finally completed it a few days ago. (alright, I had to buy a new game. But it was still awesome).

Half Life 2 deathmatch : Illumi's Puzzle Server, where the Hell are you?

Sim City 4 : The greatest soundtrack ever!

FPS Creator/AGS Editor : got me interested in mucking about with games.

Lego Rock Raiders: I spent many hours as a kid playing this.
Well crap, I remember renting that, it was great.

Quake II, for all the countless hours I played it and its mods (most particularly the first 3 levels, over and over and over because the Warehouse sucked).
My first online game, and the first game I learnt how to mod.

Oh geez, you guys are really neglecting the classics, eh? I'll try to form my list chronologically...

The Legend of Zelda (NES)
This was one of the very first games I ever played. I used to be babysat by my grandmother (on my father's side) and she loved her NES since it and all the games she owned were gifts from her husband, my grandfather, who died before I was born. My grandmother and I used to play a lot of Zelda when she babysat me. But the reason this game is so important to me is because three years ago my grandma died and when my dad and aunt and uncle went to clean out her apartment they brought me the NES and said they couldn't even think of giving it to anyone else. The first game I put in it, naturally, was Zelda and there it was, her saved game... She still had the box too, so I was looking through it and inside I found some maps to keep track of secrets and such. I thought the maps were my grandmas but, as it turns out, my grandpa played Zelda a LOT while he was undergoing chemo therapy and these were his maps. I still have his maps and my grandma's saved games and this game means a lot to me.

Dragon Warrior (NES)
Not as serious a story, but it was my first RPG and it was so much fun. I've played every single Dragon Warrior/Quest game that has come out since, it started me down a long JRPG road...

Final Fantasy (NES)
This is the game that first got me into the FF series, I know own every single FF that has been released to date.

Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES)
The best Zelda game there is. Period. I loves me some Ocarina of Time, but ALTTP is what separates the boys from the men.

Super Mario World (SNES)
This game is arguably the one that defined my childhood. I played this so extensively that by age eight or nine I had beaten the bonus world, which I find impressive because when I play it today I'm a little rusty and have one hell of a hard time.

Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Anyone who doesn't have this game on their list is an amateur. The SNES was the first console I ever owned as a child so naturally this game impressed me. It is beautiful, even by today's standards, and it's so much damn fun. It is also a game I spent a lot of time playing with my dad so it means quite a bit to me.

Quake (PC)
My first FPS thanks to dad... I was only a little kid at the time so having these terrifying monsters screaming and leaping at my face was a little overwhelming... Once I got over being scared though I smoked this game... Although, even today, I will always be afraid of going around corners when I know there is SOMETHING in the next room...

Super Mario 64 (N64)
The N64, I think, is the console that made me a true gamer and it was mostly this game I played. Me and my friends tried so hard to get every star and, eventually, we did. So many good times were had with this... This game is brilliant.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
The last time I played Zelda with my grandma. I remember I got it for my birthday and she came over and I was so happy to show her that I had Zelda... I'm sure you can already see how I have this bittersweet love for this game.

Final Fantasy IX (PS1)
Best. Final Fantasy. Ever.

Diablo II (PC)
I made so many friends and spent so many hours... Hell I still have friends from the Diablo days in my life today, and for bonus points my Diablo II disc is in my computer right now! If I had to pick a "Best game ever" this would probably be it.

Starcraft (PC)
My first RTS. I still play this game it's so good...

Tales of Symphonia (GC)
My friend and I pooled out money together and bought this... It was so much fun playing together and having the battles set so I controlled one of the characters. That was a good summer fueled by a great game, lots of pop and pizza, and good friends.

Demon's Souls (PS3)
This is the only game released this gen that really got to me. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of games I like from this gen, but damn it if Demon's Souls isn't the greatest. The atmosphere is amazing, this game scared me in some places more than most survival horror games... The combat system, the quantity of different weapons and fighting styles, the enemies, and the boss fights! Oh god the boss fights! This game is just brilliant...

So, that's my list, sorry for being really wordy. Hope you enjoyed reading it though!

Dead Rising - I love that game...
Left 4 Dead 1 (I SAID NO.1) - Great fun for a huge zombie game fan/Great fun with friends too.
Splinter Cell 1 & 2 - Great stealth games with great story lines before they screwed it up with 3 & 4
Mass Effect 1 - Taught me that I CAN enjoy shooters with RPG elements
Indiana Jones & the Emperor's Tomb - PHENOMINAL GAME! Great fighter/shooter/puzzle game. Definately on my top 10 games of all time list
The Windwaker from the LoZ series - Taught me that all great games don't have to have realistic graphics and physics engines. They can be made out of just pure awesome.

Age of Empires II: Classic RTS, creating the formula that simply -works-. Only drawback was the pretty much identical units (I mean, the Aztecs didn't have swords, they had obsidian clubs and whatnot)

Deus Ex: Story that sucked me in, no discussion.

The Warcraft Series: Rather captivating fantasy story, though the fall of Lordaeron in WCIII puzzled me, at first.

Half-Life & HL - Opposing Force: The epic beginning of Gordon Freeman's journey, nuff said. Adrian Shephard's story was rather interesting too. (And I fell in love with the Spore Launcher, I want one for a pet!)

Half-Life 2 and its episodes: The continuation, just as epic as I hoped. And kudos to the ending of Episode 2 for actually making me cry. It was heartbreaking.

Red Alert 2: One of my first real RTS'. Also featuring the most badass Tanya ever, who looked as if she could kick the commies face-first back to Mother Russia! (unlike RA3's Tanya who looks as if she's about to get down on her knees and give them a suck that even Mother Russia can't compete against.. <<) Also, there was no bullcrap "Empire of the Rising Sun" (RA3 technically took the -entire- preceding storyline and rendered it null and void!)

Call of Duty 1 & 2: Epic games, and equally epic for LAN's.

Medieval / Medieval 2 - Total War: Medieval deserves a mention for my greatest Total War battle I've ever witnessed (basically, 16,000 vs 22,000) and the second is simply hands down the best in the series so far, I don't like gunpowder much, so Empire doesn't impress me.

That's what I can think of at the moment.

Diablo II.

Randomly generated maps, items, and mini-boss monsters kept the game feeling somewhat fresh for nearly a decade after I started playing. (Obviously I haven't been constantly playing that entire time.)

Psychonauts, for being the wackiest game I ever played.

Killing Floor- Costs less than L4D2, less pain from unnecessary sequels.
Half Life Series- Taught me that FPS's weren't all about space marines
Hexen- Not for the mind numbing backtracking, but for the happiness that came over me when I figured out the puzzles.
Starcraft/Warcraft- Best RTS's ever.
Bioshock- Mutants have never been this much fun.
Fallout 3- Mutants have never been this much fun to blow the legs off of.
Oblivion- Awesome scenery, instrumental music, and plot.
Garry's Mod- Fun doesn't have to come from games with predetermined goals.
Diablo 2- Best 3rd person RPG.
For me its Heretic, HeXen, HeXen II, Heretic II. Oblivion, Half Life. I am love these games =)

Warcraft III - The custom maps! Rick Astley, the custom maps! There's fuckloads of them!

World of Warcraft - Because I've spent countless hours of fun in Azeroth.

Team Fortress 2 - By far the best FPS I've ever played. The weapons, classes, maps and game modes are just unbeatable.
