Sorry... it's been a bad day. I wish people would only post threads after 250 posts. *breaks down crying* Why does life have to be so hard?!
Yay, that means I can post threads, to bad I never have anything worthwhile to say.

OT: The timesplitters series was amazing, they have to make more of that. I would say every game ever made which teases a sequel at the end which never got made.

Mirror's Edge. I know it's getting a sequel but it was so short that it needs to be said.
I'm so bad at that game, it feels long as hell for me. Seriously, I got lost for about 40 minutes on the scaffolding bit. But, on the other hand, when I know where to go, it's incredible, and I also think it deserves a sequel. And lol at the guy who said chess.

Beyond Good and Evil for been the most amazing story/gameplay wise game I ever player and that they didn't give the damn game closure, I really want to know what happpend to Pey'j. I know they have annoced a sequel but I feel it is sort of going down the Duke Nukem path

Wouldn't it be Time Splitters 4? Or was that "3rd one" not really number 3?

Edit: Oh I see...you want a Time Splitters 4. I'm sorry.

...I guess I do want a Time Splitters 4 =( So I can play as Elvis Impersonator and Gingerbread Man again.
Aye, if there is any game in the world that needs to be made, it's Timesplitters 4. *tears* Keep going little Robo-monkey...keep going.

Advent Rising - great story and music, very promising as a trilogy, unfortunately the game wasn't well received by the critics, had some bugs and so didn't sell well and the producers went bankrupt so no second game, a shame since it had one of the best stories I have yet to see in any game

Freelancer - great fast-paced combat, nice story and characters with good soundtrack, first game really had an open ending and a sequel could have been made but microsoft have yet to make one

Anachronox - damn great game that needed a sequel since the story more or less really started at the end, unfortunately one was never made, and most likely never will, which is a shame since the story, characters and game-world were very well made

Okay, sequel that is unannounced . . . PORTAL BITCHES! I can see it now! Portal 2: Enter Gordon. Did your body just tremor with epicness? Mine did.
Wouldn't that just be Half-Life 2: Episode 3? Maybe that's what's taking them so long! Maybe they're working on a way to implement the Portal gun! Maybe...
Believe it or not, it's actually pretty simple to mod the portal gun, & its portal-shooting capabilities, into Half-Life 2.
So I'm guessing that's not what's taking them so long.
I've seen those YouTube videos as well, and I'm pretty sure all that they did was import the HL2 maps, characters, etc. into Portal, rather than importing the Portal gun into Half-Life/Half-Life 2. At its heart, Portal is more or less a HL2 mod, as evidenced by the fact that all HL2 weapons and NPCs are in Portal, waiting for you to summon them with the developer console. Hell, if you look closely at the model you see in the Portals in the "Portal gun in " videos, you'll notice that they're playing as Chell, not the disembodied hands of Gordon Freeman.

Yes, yes, a million times "yes." The story just wasn't meant to end at that. Hell, they even tease a sequel (Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Redemption?) in a sanity effect! Not to mention the fate of Mantorok and the mysterious fifth (yellow) alignment.
Too bad Silicon Knights are too busy making Too Human for Microsoft, not to mention the titular sanity system is patented by Nintendo.

Max Payne 3. Yes, i know they are making it, but it will be too different to be called a ''sequel'',
and a new Gothic game.

Saying Advent Rising had "some bugs" is like saying New York City has "some roaches". That game was almost unplayable. Constant lock ups, frame rate drops, corrupted saves, weird physics problems. The tragedy was that underneath all that, it would have been a good game with a terrific story and excellent music. After my third attempt to finish it ended with a 3rd corrupted data though, I just watched the cutscenes on youtube and downloaded the soundtrack.

Am I the only one here who wants a sequel to Chrono Cross? Not another rerelease of Chrono Trigger, I own three versions now, thanks Squeenix and Square of the past. A genuine sequel to Chrono Cross.

Also, Sea Dogs. Sea Dogs 2 was repackaged and released without bug cleanup as the first Pirates of the Caribbean Game and it had the same problems as Advent Rising. Had it not been for the bugs, I'd have ranked it much better than Sid Meier's Pirates.

Dunno, guess it depends on which version you played, I played the PC version and except for the enemy at the end not changing depending on the choices you made during the game (although it should have ) I only encountered 1 bug, and that was in 3 full playthroughs
