Paper Mario is that one for me. I remember playing that for the first time back in 2nd Grade, and I'm now a Senior in High School, so I'd say that's pretty impressive.

Well I really love to re-play Mass Effect (1&2) and Dragon Age: Origins but I think all of those are too recent to really give a "timeless" stamp XD Most of the games I have are like that... I do like the original Fable, as much as it's a terrible piece of crap in so many regards, but it has REAL EFFING BOSS FIGHTS. TAKE THAT FABLE 2 AND 3!!!

So I'm going to say the first Unreal game. It was the first REAL game we owned. I loved that game, although I've never been able to finish without cheating (my first runthrough ever got about 3/4 of the way through before my sister saved over my save with her cheater-tastic savegame, and I didn't want to start all over again, but I couldn't get rid of the cheats... sob). Also, I love the Navi. I love them so hard. XD

Homeworld is the crowning example of this. It holds up so well compared to today's RTS games it may as well have been made yesterday.
I am so glad to see another Homeworld enthusiast. It was such a great game! Played it through again recently and I'm still blown away by its sheer awesomeness!

Also Doom is still as much fun as it was years ago!

Oddly, Unreal Tournament is still very very good, it's not aged too poorly!

Agreeing with you on the Oddworld games, OP. Also, StarCraft.

A lot of other old games I play aren't necessarily because they haven't aged, but just because I like them so much that I don't care that they're not as effective. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
