Games that send you into a rage...

Any RPG where I find myself in a situation where the enemy(s) I'm facing completely overpower my party and it's impossible to win without abusing their AI (see Bendak Starkiller in KotoR 1, depending on what class/difficulty you're playing).

Oh, and Bionic Commando Rearmed.
Simply because I have to restart all the way from the beginning of the final level (which is pretty damn long) every time I lose all of my lives to Hitler. And on top of that, every single time I lose a life, I have to sit through that annoyingly long elevator sequence. But it does make it all the more satisfying when I finally make his head explod.

The most rage inducing thing about this game isn't the infinitely respawning football players that happily run/jump into an abyss, or the unspeakable, sealed evil in a can shrimp demon final boss that shoots shrimp at you, but those motherfucking PIDGEONS.

COD Modern Warfare 2: When I get my ass kicked for no apparent reason.

Kingdom Hearts 2: Love the game but Sephiroth is a mother Fu**er. Spent all the time in the world traversing planets to kill enemies and grab items. Only to create the Ultima Keyblade, and the man is a force like I've never seen. Unbeatable.

COD when I die by absolute bullshit reasons and events. And because its COD, that happens A LOT.
My favourite is when you empty half your magazine into someone and then watch a killcam where you didn't even shoot. Black Ops is by far the worst for this BS.

Then there's people accidentally knifing you through a hail of bullets, RC Cars, killstreaks that reward campers, Ghost + silenced gun + corner, the Famas, the noob tubes... etc etc

I still love it though. (twitches)

Well I tend to avoid the kind of games that I look at and think 'now that's just impossible' like I wanna be the guy so really the only games I can think of that made me really rage were Dragon Age: Origins, Fifa and Deus Ex. The latter is really only because the PC controls seem very unintuitive to a lowly console tard like me, well that and the fucking map doesn't have the common courtesy to provide a cursor to indicate where you are.

I rage at most multiplayer games. Especially Call of Duty. I think they're designed that way.

Have you fought him in KH1? I thought he was so much easier in KH2 than he was in KH1. Actually the entire game was much easier, I thought

OT: Jinpachi in Tekken 5 and Seth in Street Fighter IV. Actually, most final bosses in fighting games are rock solid which is why I don't tend to play them any more

One time in Persona 4: In the very, very, VERY last dungeon you have to fight a white table (it's a kind of monster) as a mini-boss and that thing goes first. It put fear on all of my team-members, except for my healer (Yukiko), so I didn't really think anything of it, but then the fastest guy (Yosuke) was too afraid to move, and the table used an attack that had a fifty percent chance to instant-kill somebody, who had 'fear'. The only one who died was my MC and in Persona, when your MC is dead, the game is OVER. No matter how much revive-items and spells and what-not you have.

Didn't touch the game for two days straight after that f*cking disaster.

God of War 3.

Cerberus boss.

That guy spits out kamikazee dogs at you up to three at a time. Sure you can kick them back at him but the damage they do to him is way low compared to the damage they do to you. And then you got those satyrs that dance around your attacks, have unblockable attacks and are generally a massive pain in the ass.

It's not as hard as Zeus but it's a hell of a lot more frustrating.

Why?

Because before him you were killing Poseidon and Hades and all sorts of Gods and mighty figures in Greek mythology. Most of them could've easily killed this guy.

And yet here is Cerberus kicking your ass. You the God slayer.
*CoughplatinumedGOW3inoneplaythroughcough*

But yes. God Of War 3 is a *****, although you should try getting the aMazed tropy on titan difficulty... =_=

Unless you specifically mean the competitive multi-player (the gameplay aspect of it), the game is an utter travesty. The single-player campaign is garbage and the new Battle.net is one of the worst insults of an online service ever.

Any and all games that are a waste of great potential send me into a rage by merely existing. Starcraft 2 is the prime example.
I never saw Starcraft II being anything more than what was promised. I don't see what great potential you speak of. Ever since the beginning we all knew it was a reworked Starcraft I with way better graphics and less balancing issues.
Two things. First, the supposed epic story we were supposed to get. What we got was a terribly - no, fucking atrociously - written story that barely even fills up what we could've gotten in a single campaign in Warcraft 3 or Starcraft content-wise. So that fails on two fronts - the quality and the amount of writing involved.

Second, the multi-player aspect of it. Do I really need to go into how retardedly broken and restrictive the new and improved Battle.net is? On every aspect of it, there's a critical failure (which are mostly conscious decisions, which is even more infuriating).
The writing was tacky but I had no problems with it--"Let's kick this revolution into overdrive!" nothwithstanding. And as for Bnet, I cannot say since I don't really play online. But it also depends on how you define failure. The way I see it, millions of people dig that shit and it has become an unqualified success for the company--and no, they aren't drones and your side isn't entitled to belittle them.

When it comes to writing, the cheesy lines are the least of its problems. What sucks shit through a straw is the depth of the characters and the universe, the fact that the villains are complete jokes (one of them - literally), and again, the fact that barely enough things happen to fill up one campaign in Warcraft 3. It's written incredibly lazily and Blizzard has done a much, much better job before. They deserve no praise for this. Take me up on any of these points, I dare you.

I'm not saying they are drones. I'm saying have ridiculously low standards. To call the game a masterpiece is to insult first the untapped potential Blizzard has and then storytelling in any media in general.

And shit being sold is no indication of quality. If you don't know that, you don't know anything.
I'd love to get into a detailed discussion about the storytelling merits, or lack of them, of Starcraft II, as I actually do have an oppinion on the matter. But sadly, you do annoy me, as you are clearly the kind of guy that mistakes confidence in one's oppinion with pushing your point in such a way that you come across as an unbearable tool, and that is me being kind.

PM me if you feel like acting like a civillized adult and we can take it from there, otherwise have a nice day. I'm done here.
