I would forget an entire style.

Third person shooter.

We could have avoided Tabula Rasa, APB, GTA 3 & 4, etc. etc.

Win/Win
Screw that!! We'd have no MGS4 (You will not deny the epicness of snake and live) or Gears of War 1 and 2!!

So many video games. We have several great ones you never want to forget, but there are alot that you hope are forgotten.

Tell me what games were so bad you never want to hear about it again.
For example: Starsky & Hutch, the Star Fox game on the Game Cube that you walk around with a staff instead of flying around. Those were dreadful!

You see, I believe nothing should ever be forgotten, because then it helps teach lessons, if it really was that bad.

If we forgot Too Human...it's possible we might make it again. :x
i liked starfox adventures and too human.........

OT: lets see doom 3, metroid other M,and WET the world would be better with out all of these as would my sanity. (i would put fallout 3 in here but new vegas is actualy fun)

I agree with the idea of don't forget, because of the possiblility to repeat a mistake.
But I personally wish everyone would just forget about the CDi Zelda games and Hotel Mario. Yes, it makes for great Youtube Poop, but I think it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Holy shit I forgot about that Star Fox game! I remember actually thinking it was kinda cool and epic at the time, but literally could never finish it. You had to fight someone in a sparing match I think and tap A really fast, me, my brother, or my dad could never beat that part and we ended up getting rid of it, I think. It was so long ago I cant remember

Rubbish games, the lot of them! Especially Gears. Really! The cookie-cutter BLUEPRINT of games I abhor! Rawhr.

Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of this thread by remembering the names of games you want to forget?
Exactly, "let me remind you all of that game that I think everyone should forget about" - classy.

Besides, those who forget about the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them.

Most Nintendo games seeing as how most of them are remakes, reboots, or "reimaginings" made to cash in on nostalgia.

Daikatana was the WORST. EFFING. GAME. I EVER PLAYED.

After I finished it, I tossed it into a bum fire and gained +50 karma points.

My god, 20 minutes after finishing Fallout and I'm already referencing it.

I like Daikatana... on the Gameboy. PC and N64 versions can go do naughty things to themselves.

OT: Superman Returns. Not Superman 64, Superman Returns. That pile of arse is just worthless. At least 64 is comical in it's badness.

I may have played a few shitty games in my life that I certainly regret playing or remember, but I wouldn't say I'd want to forget them. If I forgot these games exist than I may run the risk of buying it again or buying a game similar to it. Better that I learn from mymistakes and become a better person for it than to be naive and believe everything I get is gold. Also, part of the reason that the best games truly are good is because they stack up WAY better than the bad ones (if all we had were good games, can we really define it as "good" and not just "games"?)

The Zelda CD-i games. I have no idea why people say they exist when everyone knows that THEY NEVER HAPPENED!

Every WipeOut clone ever, more specifically the so-shitty-it-creates-its-own-parallel-universe MegaRace 3: NanoTech Disaster.

I can thank whatever entity watches over us that I survived putting that disk in my PS2. For a few moments, I thought all was lost.

Why would your parents buy you that!? And don't tell me that they had no idea, it's much too obvious.

Anyway, I'm going to go with "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks". Surprised? I want it to be erased from existence so that we can get a proper sequel to Wind Waker (okay, to Phantom Hourglass) that isn't cobbled together in one year. It was a pretty good game, but the lack of polish is MUCH too obvious.

Can we forget parts of a game? Because Final Fantasy II was absolute garbage in everything except the music department.

Other than that, Crash/Spyro games not made by Naughty Dog and Insomniac, respectively.

Bad things really shouldn't be forgotten. Things like Batman and Robin or Fallout:BoS stand as proof that you can't hand production off to people who don't care. Though I can safely say Fable 2 can be forgotten. Pure boredom from start to finish. That and Killzone 2. Whoever though "NAZIS! IN! SPACE!" was best played seriously, has issues.
Apart from appearance and leader, they're really nothing like Nazis. They were fighting to defend their home planet from the Vektans, they weren't trying to exterminate an entire race because of their beliefs.

Instead of forgetting a game, here's one I wish was never made:

Daikatana.

Seriously, if it wasn't for John Romero's management clusterfuck, Looking Glass Studios would have still been making Thief and System Shock games instead of closing their doors. The only good that came out of Thief 3 after that was the Robbing The Cradle mission.

Turok for the Xbox. I had that game as one of the 2 release games. The other being halo. God it was BAD! The controls were shoddy, the aiming terrible the graphics were bad. All of it looked even worse just because halo was so good too :p

Mostly games I think that should be forgotten as the ones company's cant let go and remake them into the ground. Halo I'm looking at you right now -.-

It's kinda funny, there was this one game made of total SHIT, but I forgot the name.

So it already has been forgotten. It was a turnbased third person shooter. Yeah.
Oh god no, not that game, why'd you remind me of it? It was called Operation Darkness, I think that's the game you're talking about, a turn-based TPS.
Edit: After reading more posts, what you're actually talking about looked WORSE just by the box art alone.
