I personally thing that setting say, Half Life 2 as an RTS style game could work. You could have rebels, combine, antlions, etc as the races, and really, each one could have heroes and different units. Like the rebels having a buggy squad as a tank replacement.

Someone did a mod for that (I think it was called Half Life Wars, but I'm probably mistaken). I'd like a World in Conflict FPS, preferably like CoD 4.

I'd be curious to see the Resident Evil series try a turn based RPG. Just for the hell of it. It mightn't be good, but I'd like to see them try.

Wild arms 4 as a full blown platformer or Wild arms 2/3 as a third person action game. Though the genre switch would give the combat an odd feel.

I could see Socom being a RTS

Actually, that could sort of work, SOCOM has already proven that it can be an amazing RTT (real time tactics), as proven by SOCOM: Tactical Strike on the PSP. Seeing a console SOCOM take on the RRT/full spectrum warrior gameplay would be an incredible experience. Hell they can port SOCOM: Tactical Strike over and give it a graphical overhaul for all I care.

I still think Halo would have been tons more fun if it played like Gears of war, a la third person shooter with cover system and chainsaw guns. It just seems like a good idea for me, but I've always preferred third person over "floating camera with gun taped to it".

Call of Duty may make an interesting RTS.

Prototype may make a decent RPG, come to think of it.
