Played the first X-com for the first time a few weeks ago. Fun but insanely hard and a huge time sink. Looking forward to the various remakes/spiritual successors that are on the way!

The Metroid games for GBA, really wish I got them when they came out.

I'm always late to the party, I only tend to play games on release if I've already played the previous games.

Oh boy, story of my gaming life. I think this is the first console generation where I've actually had the option of buying games at launch, I was always a late adopter.

Halo 3 multiplayer
The Assassins Creed series
Bioshock 1
Minecraft

I didn't get Half Life 2 until 2009 even though I loved Half Life 1. For some reason I can't remember is that I actually developed a hatred towards Half Life 2 (like I do for most popular things) and actually held off buying it. I do regret actually holding any form of hate towards this game and regard it as one of my favorite games of all time (behind Doom and CNC Red Alert)
