I think I've got one that hasn't already been said.

The living and breathing example of an anime intro to the game. Down to the J-Rock song, people staring into the distance with wind blowing their hair, and random fighting scenes.

I'll just second all of the Atlus mentions, especially Persona 4 and 5. Both games start with a groovy song, showing all of the cast.

Are we forgetting the king of Anime games, here?

Persona 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NphRI3pfJ9E

Persona 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h73LvR8V2LA

Persona 4 The Golden: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H5pYCw4ET4

Persona 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLQOTD5Ctdw

Special recognition because all of them let you know exactly what you're in for in terms of how the Persona games try as hard as they can for how prominent their aesthetic is. Lot's of bold, contrasting colors and as Elfgore touched on, the Persona games have always had pretty unique and high quality music to go with that aesthetic.

Just don't look up the lyrics, the lyrics suck. I assume they sound better in Japanese but in English they're just awful - Here's a taste of how bad Persona's can be.

Naked truth lies only if you realize
Appearing in nobody's eyes till they sterilize
Stop the guerrilla warfare to keep it fair
Bro change your rage to a smarter greater cause

You know the stake is high stardom is near
Those who sympathized you die killers pass by
Do not waste your time in hating flirting guys
Use your might to AIs do justice to them all

Hopefully, that worked. I'm on my phone and never embed videos using it. It is a beautiful anime inspired opening with a kickass "Western" song. I think I almost always watched that video when I started up Wild Arms.

The Wild Arms series traditionally did this until their most recent entry (which still sort of does it but is 3D rather than 2D).

More recently, there's also SolatoRobo

(All these games are JRPGs)

Good to see someone else here knows Wild Arms exists.

Man, I LOVE the Wild Arms games, even the weird one for the PSP. I was so happy to see the first three entries available in the PlayStation Store and re-bought them instantly. Very cool to see I'm not alone with this.

The music in those games make me sad I can't whistle or (in the case of #2) play the trumpet.

Since no one else has said it I will just go ahead and say Tales Of Vesperia
I love this intro so much every time I used to boot up my 360 to play it I would let the intro play I rarely ever skipped it
Tales of Xillia had a really good one as well

Oh I would also say the intro to G-senjou no Maou is pretty amazing as well.
