Games with Dakka

Hello Escapist. As most of my collection contains RPG's, swords & sorcery, or would have you complete your mission in a more sneaky approach, my body yearns for a game that will let me put so much lead into the air that the controller will never stop shaking.

It would be preferably for the XBOX 360.

Non-stop shooting that shakes the pad continuously?

Erm all I can remember is parts of Halo 3 and ODST. It can get abit much when plowing through enemies on a warthog. Prolly gonna need someone to play with ya though.

If you want a game that's just about blowin shit up then Just Cause 2 is for you.

Hm, that's a hard one. Try some Duke Nukem games maybe (there is no known amount of dakka more than in this game). You could also try the Halo series, Gears of War, a few Ghost Recon games, the CoD series, and the Battlefield games. If you could play all of these, you would be Dakkaed out.

Gears of War has lots of Dakka.

Unreal Tournament is a good example.

If you are playing Deathmatch or team deathmatch properly, you will always be shooting and you will almost always have someone shooting at you (well... almost all the time)

Hmmm, in my professional opinion I would reccomend a good dose of Left 4 dead 2.

I cant give you any advice for the 360. But if you have a pc handy then there are plenty of RTS that allow you to unleash a near satisfying amount of dakka. Games like Supreme Commander, Company of Heroes and of course Dawn of War are favorites of mine.

Supreme Commander has seemed promising for the taste of dakka I'm looking for.

I have every system, so that isn't a problem. I just asked for 360 examples as I'm an achievement whore...

The xbox arcade has DOOM and DOOM II, serious sam, smash tv, all of which are shooting fests.

Have to back this one up. Serious Sam is like the pure Dakka Dakka in game form.

Just Cause 2 is great for just some pumping action. But if you like mowing into a group of running people, L4D works fantastically. Enjoy

Borderlands. I'm fairly sure there isn't a gun dream that game doesn't fulfill.

Definitely Serious Sam. You can run around shooting a freaking cannon.
Also, Painkiller has some of the same type of action as Serious Sam, but with more professional polish and better art design.
