Well there's Shadow of the Colossus.

Once for the PS2, once via the Team ICO collection for the PS3.

Friggen love that game.

Also:

MGS3: Snake Eater
The Sly Cooper series via the HD collection
Ratchet and Clank series via the HD collection
And Jak and Daxter series via... yeah, I think you know where this is going. :p

Plus quite a few games I used to have as a kid I bought again via the PSN and Wii's online store.

Nothing recently. However, I'm about to buy System Shock 2 for the second time. I let a friend borrow my old copy and the let someone he knew borrow it. It kept getting passed down and now I have no idea who has it. While I'm saddened it is gone, I'm happy that several people got to play that masterpiece. With it being on GoG now, I shall snag another copy.

so, the xbox in my house is not mine, and the guy who owns it is moving out soon so i'm making the conversion to PC gaming, which means re-purchasing games i consider to be essential.

which basically just includes all Bioware and Bethesda games (the RPGs at least)

what games have you bought twice
I've bought Company of Heroes 4 times......

#1 - Origional CoH collectors (and got the first expansion later to pair up with it.

#2 - CoH complete pack with both expansions.

#3 - Company of heroes complete pack on steam (big sale)

#4 - THQ humble bundle including CoH which I claimed on a 2nd steam account I created.

Reason? First copy I got obviously to play, 2nd I wanted to play with mates over LAN and wanted tales of valor, was cheaper as complete pack. 3rd copy was cheapie during steam sale for conveniance (slow patching with hard copies) and final was just a bonus I ended up with.

Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas. All were originally on console, but I rebought them when I got an adequate PC. For ze mods :D

I also rebought Kingdom Hearts, a few years after I traded it in and got a real hankering to play it again.

Would you count HD releases? If so, then Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, MGS 1+2, Devil May Cry 1+3.
Curse you for taking my list, but I have some things to add:
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix +
Ape Escape 2,3, Pumped and Primed
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix (Imported it to do videos on it, technically it's me rebuying Final Mix and Re: CoM :D)
Sonic Heroes
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic 06 (I do LPs of series in order so I have to do this one. T^T)
Final Fantasy XII
Ratchet and Clank 1-3 if HD collections are counted
Ratchet Deadlocked
Megaman Legends 1 and 2 (Glad I repurchased them years ago. They are like $100 used now. >.>)
Luigi's Mansion
Twilight Princess
Super Mario Sunshine
Transformers (2004 Melbourne House game)
Jak and Daxter 1-3 (Again if HD collections count)
Bioshock
Dirge of Cerberus
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Animal Crossing
Destroy All Humans 1 and 2
In hindsight, every game I've own, except a few, I have repurchased in some way, shape, or form. I mainly buy them again because I'm either going to LP them or I already have LPed them.

I just bought King of Dragon Pass again. I still have the original disc somewhere, but it was worth getting the latest version off of GOG.com for $3 to avoid any potential Windows 7 install issues. This is a completely unique game that I still haven't completely beat.

Neverwinter Nights Complete (NWN and NWN2 plus all expansion packs) is the only other game(s) I've purchased again, partly to have a second CD key set for multiplayer and partly because I had lost the Mask of the Betrayer expansion by leaving it behind in a hotel room a few years back. I still play multiplayer NWN on a weekly basis in a campaign that's been going for 9 years now. In terms of $$ to time/fun ratio, NWN beats everything else I've ever owned.

I do that a lot actually. I buy a game at launch, beat it, trade it in before price drops, and eventually rebuy it when it's dirt cheap.
Plus there's the time when my PC exploded and all I had were a crap laptop and a PS3. I rebought a bunch of games I had on PC for my PS3. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect (when it FINALLY came to PS3)...

I have PvZ on PC
PvZ HD on my iPad
PvZ on my iPhone

Dead Space on PC and PS3
Assassin's Creed on PS3 and PC

I'm considering buying Fallout 3 on the PS3 because my PC version on Steam continuously crashes or locks up.

With the recent purchasing of C&C Ultimate(albeit at a very very low price in a promo.) I have bought the entire c&c collection twice once in the first decade and now to have it online whenever I want and then everyone from Red Alert up to Red Alert 3 at least once in retail at their release dates. At least EA was decent enough to let most of my old games with keys be registered into Origin.

Other than this notable exception I don't really remember anything. I guess AOE II is soon to be another one.

Oh wait I just remembered, every single Star Wars game in my Steam account goes into that category, I basically have them all on retail disks somewhere but can't really be bothered with disks anymore. Same goes for Fallout 1 and 2, and I guess that's that.

Before the Region 1 release of Demon's Souls was announced I imported the Asian version. Sadly I couldn't cancel that order so I ended up buying the collector's edition too.

I also have several formats/versions of Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, FF2, FF4, FF5, FF6, Crystalis, Shadowgate, Link's Awakening + DX, A Link to the Past, and Zelda 1,2

Alpha Protocol because the PC version is fucking awful. Ran wonderfully on the PS3, though.

There's also Super Street Fighter IV. First on the 360 then on the PS3 after I sold my 360.

Borderlands for PC/PS3.

Mirror's Edge for the PS3 twice.

Can't tell you how many times I've bought different versions of the first three Resident Evil games over the years. At some point in time I've owned each one, be it GameCube, PSone, or from the PSN.

Pokemon Blue, Gold, and Silver (x2)
-My mom got into the handhelds, starting with the Gameboy Color so there are a couple copies of these. If you count HeartGold and SoulSilver, make it 3 times.

Final Fantasy VIII (PS1, x2)
-Disc 2 messed up and I took it back to EB Games to replace it. Later found out that disc 3 was also defective and bought another copy off of eBay.

Shadow of The Colossus (x2)
-I bought the Ico/Shadow of The Colossus HD Collection.

Red Dead Redemption (PS3/360)
-It was my first game for the PS3, Walmart gave you a $100 gift card when you bought the console and that's one of the things I got with it. Played it all the way to 100% completion in the original story and Undead Nightmare and reached the 5th Legendary Rank, Lv. 50 in multiplayer. Then my friend wanted me to get it for the 360 so we could play together on multiplayer. I love the game, though. I'm on my way to the top again and slowly working on getting golden guns, too.

Fallout 3 (360/PC)
-For mods.

Skyrim (360/PC)
-Again, for mods. The horse commands mod made having a horse much better.

I bought Titan Quest three times. I really wanted to play that game with friends but when that finally happened I devised a build so ridiculously OP that my friends didn't really enjoy themselves because I could sweep everything off the screen before they got an attack in.
