I couldn't really get into Lost Odyssey. I didn't hate the main characters, (Heck, the main one actually had some REALLY good moments) but the rest of them just weren't likable enough. It was either that or it was a four disc game that I didn't have the patience to slog through. Most likely the two factors playing off each other. A few good characters and most of them really annoying in a four disc game is more than I can handle.

Come to think of it I never finished Assassin's Creed 3 and I'm not a fan of Connor. There may be a connection, can't say for sure. My feelings on the game are muddled.

I honestly could not tolerate Nathan Drake. He was so smug and he acted like he was clever, but I knew high school bullies who were more clever than he was. I would have minded this less if the other characters told him to shut up now and then, like any basic human would, but no, his friends and enemies alike respond to him like he's making cutting jibes worthy of William Shakespeare.
Yet he gets called out on his bullshit and the universe responds in kind by dropping him in constant situations where he screams in panic and what not. Can't you appreciate the fact that he gets as much misfortune piled on him as possible?

Far Cry 3 was a bit tough for me at times due to the protagonist, aka the man who can shoot, stab, and otherwise violently murder scores of his fellow man without batting an eyelid, yet whimpers like a ***** whenever he skins an animal. (Also, just about every line of dialogue he had made me wish Vaas would show up and lynch him. Seriously, any game where you're rooting for the villain is doing it wrong, in my book.)

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

If you didn't play the first game in the series then here's the spoiler alarm but considering the game's respective ages, I'm not putting up the spoiler box. Anyway in Force Unleashed 1 the canon ending is to have Starkiller attack Palpatine; ultimately dying in his struggle but buying enough time to allow for Leia Organa and others to escape and form the Rebel Alliance. It wasn't the best game of all time but the story was self contained and, hinted at an anthology series taking place all throughout the Star Wars Timeline.

BUT THEN

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 was announced not as a new game featuring a new Jedi or, other exemplary warrior but as a direct sequel featuring fucking Starkiller. A clone of the original of all things! From that announcement on I blocked out every new story about the game and when the reviews came in and painted the game as being on par with Kane & Lynch 2 in terms of length and, satisfaction (4 HOURS!!) I couldn't have gloated hard enough. They didn't just screw the pooch, they screwed the whole fucking dog pound.
