Games You Have More Than One Copy Of

Warcraft 3.

Mostly because I keep losing the damn disc, then go to buy another copy because they are so damn cheap, only to find the disc again the very same day.

Did Blizzard give these discs feet or something?

I know this all too well. I've got 2 copies of RoC and 3 TFT, all fine and working. Everyone always asks why I simply don't pirate a new copy.

Other than that, I've got two copies of Mass Effect 2. I forgot I had already preordered once, and did so again. When I got the package, there was a brief moment of confusion followed by a smack to the back of my own head. God damned university-stress. Oh well, at least I could trade my DLC codes for America-exclusive DLC.

Oh, and Half Life 2. I've had an extra copy on Steam since I bought the Orange Box, and everybody and their dog (no half life-related pun intended) already owns the game so I can't gift it away.

Off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure I've got at least a couple copies of StarCraft/Brood War, not because I bought any of them, but because there were always so many of them laying around at LAN parties that I eventually got given someone's extra, and then someone else gave me his discs when he was trying to stop playing so he wouldn't fail out of college.

Out of ones that I've actually bought, I know I have at least two copies of Portal (stand-alone and Orange Box), Darwinia (boxed and Steam), Psychonauts (boxed and Steam), and Beyond Good and Evil (GameCube and PC). Most of those are just because they happened to be bundled with something else I didn't own yet, though, and almost all of them were marked way down on sale.

I think I also had duplicates of a couple other things when my friend let me keep a bunch of his old games when I helped him move, but I sold/traded most of the extras a while ago. Unless you count having both the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and a couple of the original games, I guess.

I don't think I've ever had to get a new copy of anything because the original didn't work. I take very good care of my stuff.

I have 2 copies of FF7 - one on PC (which wont run on xp) so I bought it on PSN.

I had to buy another copy of Crackdown after accidently throwing the disc out, does that count?

I have two copies of Oblivion: my GOTY copy for the PC and one of the Teen rated copies for the 360 as my victory trophy from a bad break up.

Oblivion, once my PC was good enough to play it I moved from the 360 to PC.
Empire Earth developed a glitch where my disc hated my computer but worked on everybody elses.
Half-Life 2, got the orange box so gifted the original game to my cousin.

Ive got 2 copies of dawn of war and winter assualt since I decided to go ahead and buy a combo back so I could install them easier

Ive had 2 copies of halo 2, one of mine got ruined when my 360 fell over

Ive got 2 copies of world in conflict and titans quest since I have the hard copy of the original and I got steam copies of the gold editions for the expansions of both games


I supppose I have 2 copies of dawn of war soul storm since Ive got a hard copy and they had a deal to get into the dow2 beta by putting in the key from it and it linked it to my steam account

Diablo II: Three times. I have to agree with several other people that Blizzard games just happen to walk away. Constantly. My friend practically has a record, he has gotten Diablo II seven times.

Final Fantasy VIII: Three times. First copy the third disc didn't work. Second copy the fourth disc didn't work. Third copy I just got off PSN, haha.

Final Fantasy IX: Two times. First copy the third disc didn't work. (I have great luck with that third disc)

Probably a few more game, but I don't want to think about it anymore, haha.

Both courtesy of Valve shipping Half Life 2 with Episode 1, and all 3 episode together in one box. The household stuff is the extra copy my brother has, so as a household total.

Several other games we have more than a few knocking about in the house.

Alien Versus Predator (Original), I have 2 of them due to wanting the Steam Version for Multiplayer. (3 pounds, what could go wrong?)

Got two copies of Modern Warfare 2, CoD4, and Unreal Tournament 3 knocking around, 1 for me, 1 for my brother.

That's about it I guess.

I have two copies of FFXI due to the fact that when I got around to buying the Chains of Promathia expansion it was actually cheaper to just buy the Anniversary collection (Containing the Original, Rise of Zilart, and Promathia) instead of just the expansion.

I own two copies of Diablo and Diablo II from when I went to buy the Lord of Destruction expansion and found the battle chest on a deal making it, once again, cheaper than simply buying the expansion alone.

That reminds me... I have three copies of Gothic 3. One I bought on its own, one from Gothic Universe and one from this RPG collection pack.

I also have two copies of Gothic 2 for the same (first) two reasons I listed for G3.

I own 2 copies of Saints Row 2. Both times my PS3 died (Both times over the course of 2 days thanks to a faulty part. Thank god Video Game 911 has a warranty and is 5 minutes away from my house.) I was trying to boot up Saints Row 2. Scared that the game may have something to do with the problem, (as irrational as that is) I went out and bought a replacement copy.
