-Final Fantasy 7. I just didn't like it at all.
-Just about every RPG I've ever played with an overly complex customisation system: every Final Fantasy save 1, 4 and 6; Fallout 3; heck, even Fire Emblem annoyed me in that regard!
-Half Life 2. I'll admit, the electric fence in Ravenholm is just too much for me.
-Chrono Trigger. I liked it, but it really doesn't like me.

Mass Effect.

I've installed this three times in total. The first two times, I stopped in the Citadel after the first mission while sidequesting after totally losing interest. This is probably tied to my poor sense of direction in 3D scapes and would probably have been less of a problem if it was something like, top-down perspective or so. Nevertheless, I simply got bored and gave up.

The one time I got further around to planet hopping, I found that I really didn't enjoy the basic gameplay anyway since the driving sections really got me more annoyed than anything and the gunplay didn't interest me.

Sengoku Basara 3. I used to love the series. The game wasn't horrible but the story mode implementation felt even longer and taxing than the 2nd game and I got bored.

FFIV Compilation. I enjoyed FFIV a long time ago, but I think I've grown too jaded to enjoy it anymore as it is.

May I suggest time compression as a reason *rolls eyes*

Personally I can't finish about 2/3 of the games I start. I game hop. Or you could just say I have gaming ADD.

Most recently, I started and didn't finish Super Mario Galaxy, Kinect Sports, NHL 10, Kung Fu Panda, X-Men: The Official Movie Game, Ninety-Nine Nights, Ace Combat 2, and Dragon Age: Origins (although that last one is my second playthrough the game)

EDIT:

Come to think of it, I seem to have the opposite problem. I like too many games just enough to try them but then something new and shiny comes along and ...
I'm with you on the gamer ADD just picking up fallout vegas again to try and finish, but i -never- finish anything, especially rpgs. I spent all my time finding and looting everything and wind up max level before 1/3rd through the story, at least the first fallout that happened, and looks to be on par for vegas. (I suppose finishing the original 2 count? maybe since they had less distraction and time limits on things)
The irony is that I actually intend on going back to some of them (especially as you mention, RPGs) but by the time I return to the game I forget what I was doing. That is why one of my fave RPGs was Tales of Symphonia.... it had an in-game recap of what had happened and what I was doing so that I could return to it after 6 months.

Portal 2, I got bored, at some point I'll get this itch to play it and then I'll play it for 15 minutes and get bored again.

"Till the End of Time" is very appropriately named for how freaken long that game is. It was advertised at having 90 hours of main story, and damn they weren't lying, if anything that is an understatement. My least favorite Star Ocean game, far simpler than other games and a lot of bad cutscenes that are also unskippable. There is an interesting story in there, just takes way too long to tell the interesting parts. It was the first game to ever have Trophies, predating achievements, but getting all 255 takes even longer than forever -you have to beat the game a minimum of 3 times and usually that's not enough to collect all of them. ...so yah, can't blame you for quitting while you were ahead. It's better than FF8, but not as short.
Frankly, after I heard about how it ended (I looked it up because I knew I would never, ever beat it), I'm glad I didn't put in the effort and try to get through it. I would have raged so hard that walls would have been broken with my TV by the time I was through.

Dragon age 2 it was just really boring and the story wasn't interesting the characters were bland the environments were bland everything was just rushed.
Got through 3 hours and stopped as opposed to my DA:O save 4 saves each 100+ hours.
Haven?t picked it up since I got so many other good games at to play at the moment after I finish my vacation.

The only game that I just couldn't bring myself to finish was Dante's Inferno. I tried to like it, I really did. I love Visceral Games and I thought they did some really interesting things with the game, but I just got to a point where I realized I didn't care about what I was doing and I just couldn't be bothered to keep trying to grind through it.

Conversely, I haven't finished Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood because I keep getting distracted by other games. I really need to go back to that...

To date Fallout 3 is the only game I can think of that I couldn't complete, because it bored me. I just couldn't get into it. I think it's the only game I have traded in for something else.

That's the problem with ports to computers in some cases. I LOVED San Andreas, easily my favorite GTA game and a few months ago I thought to myself "heck, I'll replay it...Oh, I don't own a ps2... Well I'll get the pc version" And after I tried playing it the controls made it irritatingly difficult to even drive a car.

Oblivion and Fallout 3.

There's something mind-numbingly boring about Bethesda games. I'd start out thinkin 'this is gonna be awesome', and then a couple of hours later I think 'what the hell am I doing here?' and go play something else.

There's countless games I can't get into, but these stand out, because 1) they're bafflingly popular and 2) they seem very promising on the surface.

New Vegas - Ended up really enjoying the story, and getting near to the end of the game so quickly I felt the need to go and do side missions. I found the side missions unsatisfying and dull, at which point I lost sight of the ultimate goal of it all and stopped playing.

The Witcher- The most needlessly overcomplicated and excessively padded game I have ever played. "Go here, kill ten of that" quests are unforgivable in a single player RPG, especially one focusing on story.

Damn it, you beat me to the punch with both your picks! I played Til the End of Time for a good portion of the game bored and hating every minute of it. Whiny hero worried about breaking the first contact law, getting sidetracked on low tech planets twice, hated it all. Then they pulled a matrix near the end and I just said fuck this game and traded it in.

Halo: CE, i bought it in mid-2009, i still haven't got past one level, just because it confused me, had respawning popcorn crabs and no matter what i did i couldn't get anywhere, same goes for a mission in Halo 2 where there is a giant dark place with respawning Flood and enemy robots where i hide, get lost, find my way to the start, realise i spent 45 minutes on that, and switch off...also PURE, it was terrible... just terrible, also Lego Batman(it was a 2-disk thing with PURE, i didn't buy either, i was given it), just because it was a grind

Farcry 2

Admittedly, i only bought it for the map editor, but the story just didnt have any sort of purpose. You essentially fail the mission straight away, and the malaria/gun jamming bullshit needs to go. Or at least only happen in areas where im NOT under fire from exactly twenty gun totting miltia bastards. Seriously, coming down with the sniffles half way through a particularly tense encounter, only to have my weapon jam straight away afterwards, is a run-up kick square to the testicles.

Ive tried playing it about 10 times now, and each time i instantly loose interest at about the point where it says "tutorial over, go do shit... Well? What are you waiting for?".

Not by any stretch a bad game, its just the over-all aim of the narrative is lost on me, and at that point i just dont see a reason to play. Its essentially a game made up of side-quests.

Just cause 2

Strangely enough, this has the same problem as farcry 2, but a completely different outcome. I still dont really get the over-all goal but, unlike farcry 2, i carried on playing. Probably because it is ludicrous amounts of fun and explosions in one sizzling fiesta of a game. Farcry 2 on the other hand, has nothing apart from the diamond hunting, and being obliterated by ALL humans you see. Seriously, it seems like every single human just wants to kill you.

Hunted: Demon's Forge. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I actually asked Steam for a refund and they gave it to me...I guess they've played it too...

I Am Not Alone. There is literally ONE enemy in this game. That's not to say you have one fight, there are many fights...but every enemy is the exact same enemy.

The Void. This game may be impossible. I'm not sure since I can't get more than an hour into it before I lose.

The worst part was that he had a cool name. Fayt Leingod. A cool name wasted on a crappy character.

A World of Keflings (or is it "The World of Keflings"...?)

I just... can't finish the last-kingdom. Towards the end, the game just gets too stressful. I don't care what party-members I can choose to help me, or how many Keflings I can train to do specific jobs. I. Just. Can't.

Terraria

Ok. I've been playing for 3-months, but I'm nowhere near the end. I'm not even in the UnderGround Jungle area yet. It's just too slow-moving, so I've put it off untill I actually know what to do; don't know if I'll ever finish it, though. Unless I have a massive nerd-gasm and make another save in beat it in one-sitting. But if I know that'd ever happened I'd check myself into a mental-hospital.

Tales of Abyss

I just keep losing to that son-of-a-***** final boss, Van - WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE ALREADY?!!

Dead Rising

There's difference between a "high-difficulty" and a "butt-fucking axe-murdering dipshitted difficulty"

WoW/Champions Online, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Dead Rising.

I just so bored of MMORPGS, so I really just have no initiative to play them. There is really no action for me.

Grand Theft Auto was OK, but the controls were a bit wonky and the game is so goddamn long it takes like a week to finish.

Dead Rising was just a frustrating mess for me. It WAS fun at times, but the aggravation easily overwhelmed any fun I was having.

Well 8 is the black sheep of the family, everyone seems to hate it.
I happen to love 8 personally

OT: Farcry 2. I spent so much time doing random stuff that I never felt as though the game actually had a story even though I know it did.
