Dark Messiah of Might and Magic; buggy and unstable, but fun as hell when you got it running. Also the fact that magic was so (over)powerful at the end of the game was absolutely delicious, especially because it sucked ass early game. Did that very well; everything that was hard early game payed off BIG TIME at the end.

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men; quite possibly the most mature game I've ever played (yes, even more so than GTA. If you don't believe me, try it out). I thought the storytelling and dialogue were masterpieces, and while the gameplay was nothing new (and was a little buggy), it was overshadowed by the great storytelling. I can't figure out why people give it such low scores.

mine would probably be halo 2. i know everyone hated it the ways it tried to improve on halo 1 and how the campaign was terrible, but i liked it mostly becuase i'm a big glitcher and halo 2 had lots to offer in that category. all of the glitches in the game gave me lots of reasons to keep playing such as skulls, giant soccer balls, a scarab gun to go with the soccer ball, superbounces, etc.

The time splitters series was a glorious gem passed up by most by combining humor and addicting run and gun philosophys with hundreds of unlocks and characters it kept me occupied for the better part of a year.

Me it's Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. In my opinion, who cares if it's more kid friendly, art direction shouldn't taint one's choice of a game

Along with Dark Messiah (which I still have yet to play through completely), I'd say Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Buggy as DM (using the same engine, natch) but it's got a decent story, some memorable characters, and IMHO well-implemented vampiric powers. Want to slit up your fellow man with nasty claws? Can do. Looking to move invisibly through the night and stealth-kill everything in sight? That's an option, too. Interested in being a political mover and shaker, as you persuade, seduce and intimidate your way to the top? Go for it. I've played a few of the clans and find something new every time I start over, even if the dialog doesn't always change. Some of it is still hilarious.

Stephen Hawking's Math Challenge. Sometimes you just wanna do some mad calculus, you know?

Okay, fine, that one's not real, but God Hand is, and I liked it. Yeah, it's repetitive, and the level design isn't really all that inspired, but it takes me back to the old beat em ups like Streets of Rage and such. Plus it's a pretty funny game with weird characters, so that was a plus in my books.

I liked the first 3D Castlevania game, made for the N64. You could play as either the girl with the rings, or the usual whip wielding guy. I have yet to find anyone else that liked the game.
I liked that one too, although the controls pissed me off a few times. I just rented it though, so I never managed to finish it cause there was one level where that Whip guy just wouldn't grab the goddam ledge. Still, it was a fun game.

Okage: Shadow King
Somebody besides me played Okage AND loved it? I thought I was the only one. Anyway, besides Okage, some games that fall into this category are Final Fantasy X-2, Army of Two, and Halo 3.

Most everyone I know on a face-to-face level despised Final Fantasy 8, whereas I loved it. Mostly because I love games with the right level of customization, that let me play it my way. Picking up the skills I want as soon as the essence of it appears rather than making me sit through 15 skills I will never use to get the one I like. Sure sometimes it took some unlocking but never to a degree that was infuriating. Plus being able to turn vendor trash into things I'd use rather than sell them for a trifling sum was freaking awesome.

Two Worlds. Much better than Oblivion IMO. And the graphics seem fine to me. (The voice acting is beyond terrible - I will concede that.)

Can't wait for the sequel.

I feel as if I'm the only one I know that actually enjoyed the Pikmin games. They were original, addicting, a decent challenge, and the boss fights epically(if thats even a word) awesome. I honestly don't see what it is they find so stupid about it, Pikmin was an awesome game and I'm looking forward to they next one(if they make it).

Eugh.....Metal Gear Solid 2.
Same here.
And no one seems to like Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit. It definately has its problems, but I still like it. Then again, that may be because of sheer nostalgia.

Final Fantasy 2. To this day I still go WTF!!?!? every time people rag on it. Seriously it was a great game, its stat system was so innovative and advanced for its time but people hate it. I mean come on.

I find it hard to find a game most people hated that I love. The Witcher, Crysis and Dark Messiah all got their own share of flak, but they still were liked by a a lot of people.

Going to say Phantom Crash and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel on the Xbox. I liked them both and was pretty much alone liking them. BOS wasn't really Fallout per se, but it was a nice change from all the fantasy dungeon romps at the time.

Phantom Crash had some nice mech customization stuff. I wish I had gotten Chromehounds on the 360, probably would've loved that. Now I'm not sure whether anyone plays it anymore and its main hook is online play.

Ooh, and Senko no Ronde. Though I mostly attribute that to the fact that nobody really has heard of the game. It's a nice combination of a shmup and a fighting game.

I'd have to say Okami. Great game, great reviews, but no one I've recommended it to took it seriously enough to give it a chance.

Earth Defence forse 2017 was the shit. There is something about that game that is just stupid fun.

Forza 2 is hated by all of my friends but its hot nasty speedy shit on wheels.

Also, lots of people have a problem with Assassin's Creed but I love that game(I know about its problems just as well as everyone else, probably better.)
