Bioshock 1 & 2, Gothic 1, 2, and 3, Left 4 Dead 1, 2, and several indie games from steam. Many great games I'm sure, just have no interest in playing.

Red Dead Redemption, boring game, can't stand the main character, uninteresting and tedious game play. Mass Effect, also extremely boring and not interested in the characters or story. Demon's Souls, tedious to the extreme, clunky controls are not a way to make a game "hard" or "challenging" , I don't understand the hype it gets, or why people can play games with a paper thin "story" I use that term loosely, it is the reason I will never touch Dark Souls, no matter how much it is discounted on Steam. Bayonetta, just can't get into it.

Child of Eden.

I bought it because I was familiar with the music, but it's really not the kind of game I'd just sit there and play. It's pretty but it's not my cup of tea. I just wanted it.

Lone Survivor, Eve, Cypher... I just can't do it, the whole Mac (or PC) laying thing makes me bored, and those games are cool, but not spectacular as most people say...

I have a load of crap that came in with some bundles on Steam. A short list would be,

Virtua Tennis 2009
Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

There are probably a few more, stuff I wouldn't even play let alone buy. Thats one of the problem with the bundles on Steam.
Kane & Lynch is worth your (free) time, if only to give it a try, specially since it was "for free". It got a lot of crap from critics, and rightfully so, it was advertised as something way different than what was delivered, if you're a fan of Michael Mann, try it out ;) Obviously, don't expect too much either.

From the reviews and some of the lets play vids I have not got much motivation to try it, there are a lot of other games in my Steam backlog I would rather play first.

Bayonetta, played it for a few hours about a year ago..haven't touched it since. Also bought CoH and its standalone expansion Opposing Fronts in a steam sale, haven't even installed them.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, they screwed up my save file (PC) and can't fix it.
Hint, after beating the boss before the ice world, don't backtrack, which is stupid I know.

Amnesia. Got it in the Humble Bundle, freaked out after thirty minutes and vowed never to touch the top of my Steam library again.

none at the moment, unless you count the pile of really old PC games I pilfered from my step-brother's room after he moved out, I'll probably get around to playing them at some point

with that said I'm on Playstation Plus, and I often download games just because they're free, I have Tomb Raider Underworld on my PS3, I'll likely never play it, but if a game is free, I'm downloading it

None for the reasons you've listed. I've got plenty of games I have no desire to play thanks to having expected them to be good and things not turned out that way, or because I've played them to death, but I've never bought any game for any reason other than I thought I'd enjoy it.
In fact, I generally go out of my way not to buy or play games recommended to me, or who have a lot of hype - unless I was thinking of getting them anyway - simply because I know its not going to turn out well; it'll either end up being meh and people seriously overrated it, or I'll keep getting bugged every 5 minutes by my friends wanting me to get on and play the shitty multiplayer, which ruins the game in the space of 5 minutes.

Dragon Age Origins and Bioshock 2. I have tried very hard, but they just don't hold my attention.

I bought Metro 2033 and somehow missed it was a steam-exclusive game, so never got past the installation process.
Bought the first Assassins Creed. Took a look at the control scheme in the manual and then lost all desire to play it.
Bought Temple of Elemental Evil. Expected it to be an RPG similar to Baldur's Gate, not a hack'n'slash. Never got further than the gate to the first village.
