Theme(Fallout + Blade Runner + Mad Max + ... ) + Mechanics(Spore + Fallout + Silent Storm) + Multiplayer = Goodness. Think about running around the world that fills in the blanks and actually lives, develops, and reacts like a true ecosystem. That and having your character being portable enough to when your friend finds something cool, he can invite you over to his world and explore it. It'd at least be interesting.
i dig. how about.. an MMO where you control a _squad_, instead of 1 character, set in the Fallout universe - with fully destructible environments.

imagine managing your little squad of mutants, Brotherhood members, and dogs...must have.

we could call it, Fall-Com.

And could someone PLEASE use the wicked-sweet GTA3 engine to make a different style of game, either something Sci-Fi or Medieval. I knock thee of thyne horse, shout n00b, and rideth to the black market to beat up young Willam for snitching to the king. On thyne way, I change the radio station on thy horse to a more jaunty tune.
agreed. Grand Theft Hover-car would be awesome. so would Grand Theft Horse - go around knocking knights off their horses Gladiator-style...

"XCom: UFO Defense" on XBLA would be full of win and kittens and rainbows. Hey, they did a Playstation port... so it *can* be done.

If you don't mind the missing multiplayer mode take a look at Galactic Civilizations 2.
You know, you are actually the 3rd person that has told me that. I'll have to look into it when I get my new comp!

Thanks amigo!

I honestly can't believe nobody has mentioned Republic Commando yet. That game was an absolute masterpiece: A sequel with a longer campaign, co-op, and multiplayer that doesn't suck would be an absolute must-buy for me.

I'd personally like to see a remake or sequel to Future Cop L.A.P.D. or a vigilante V8 sequel
You, my good sir, have won this thread.

I'm a fan of the MOO series, but Gal Civ just really didn't do it for me, I don't feel like it was as in depth as MOO was, plus the battles blow.

RE: GTA Alternate Engine Uses...

Ok. Fifth Element ring a bell for anyone? Why in the hell hasn't anyone cashed in on making GTA into something like the Fifth Element's city? Same with how Alderan looked in Star Wars 2/3. GTA, but multi-leveled cities. Especially fun since hijacking a flying car takes TALENT.
That's an excelent idea, although there is a game called Scrapland on the PC that's kind of like a GTA in a planet full of robots. This game is the closest thing to what you're describing that I can think of.

Among many other sequel ideas, I'd like to see a new 3D Castlevania that allowed complete perfect control over the titular Vampire Killer Whip, either via Wiimote or the Right Analog Stick depending on the system you like. Preferably closer in format to Lament of Innocence than Curse of Darkness, only this time give us some outdoor areas to explore too.

But number one on the wish list? A modern sequel to Demon's Crest (SNES), the very definition of a 'cult classic' in that despite it's quality graphics, music and atmosphere it apparently managed to generate negative sales one month. How this occured I can't begin to guess with any confidence, maybe some little kids were traumatized by the 'scariness' ('Demon's Crest must mean lotsa fluffy bunnies DURRRRRR') or unable to beat the intro boss without a tutorial. Firebrand aka The Red Arremer has actually had more fresh game releases in his name than the franchise he originated from, Ghouls n' Ghosts (2 vs 3).

The Devil May Cry series shows Capcom certainly has some nice flair left for making good action games about demons- a new Demon's Crest could succeed in the one area where it's predecessor failed.

Starcraft: Ghost would be nice.
I have the feeling Blizzard pulled the plug on that one cause they dident want to taint the SC brand. Somethings are best left sleeping.

- A single-player driven Phantasy Star
- A Panzer Dragoon similar to Saga (i.e. not a rail shooter)
- A re-make of Final Fantasy VI
- A sequel to Conker's Bad Fur Day
- A sequel to Shenmue II
- A sequel to Pilotwings 64 (this could be gorgeous)
- A Nintendo/Square collaboration for a sequel to Super Mario RPG
