I want a modern Blast Corps. That game was a blast, and one of Rare?s most unsung treasures.
It was the only Rare game of that generation not to be a commercial success. I can't help you with a modern version, but if you still have a 64, pick up Body Harvest- even now it's the closest thing we have to another Blast Corps and the fact it's made by the same team as GTA3 and has more vehicles than you can shake a stick at makes it very interesting indeed...

I'd kill for a true sequel to Dragon Age Origins, not the dumpster fire that was Inquisition.

Also, Tenchu; Sekiro raised my hopes for a brief moment, then cruelly dashed them (though I will still play Sekiro).

Your pun is bad, and you should feel bad.

I also would like another A Wolf Among Us; the only Telltale game that had me hooked.

Ahhh but your reply made me feel good; especially that last part! I haven?t been keeping tabs on it as it seemed likely to never happen.

Well that is interesting, but it?s a wonder Blast Corps wasn?t at least a decent success, or that a follow-up couldn?t be with today?s technology. It was arguably more original gameplay-wise than all their other games combined, and it worked. I suppose jumping in barrels and shooting things was more fun than destroying things with a variety of heavy equipment, while a nuclear bomb is about to explode if you don?t do it well enough.

A sequel to Bloodborne, my most favorite game of all-time, but only when it's once again directed by the maestro. I know he said he's more interested in new IPs for now(obviously with the trailer for Sekiro) but maybe in the future. The game doesn't necessarily warrant a sequel given it's unique vision but there is still so much potential left in the world they created. There is simply nothing else like it.

Only one of you mentioned Bloodborne?! Oh gentlemen, gentlemen, I am disappointed. Bloodborne is the clear answer.

Bloodborne.

Speaking of Bloodborne, was everyone aware of the cut bosses/cut stage in a chalice dungeon? Apparently they were dug out of the game code around last December, but I for one was completely unawares. Here are the glyph codes if you want to go in blind -

Or if that one has a non-hostile encounter try

I haven?t tried yet, but it doesn?t sound like they?re the time-sensitive type ala Root variety.

Other useful info [https://www.reddit.com/r/bloodborne/comments/7mslzs/data_mining_mega_thread/] for anyone looking to really dive deep, in lieu of an actual follow-up.

If we're playing the game of "Rare games that need sequels," I'll substitute Blast Corps for Jet Force Gemini.

Maybe Conker's Fur Day as a second, but I can't imagine that really flying these days. However, I think a modern JFG game could easily be made with the kinks worked out.

Eternal Darkness for the GameCube. Sadly its "Spiritual Sequel" as it was called got lost in early crowd funding limbo. Plus a lot of bad decisions by the company that ultimately saw bankruptcy means one of the best H.P. Lovercaft games might be lost.

Primal Rage, I know has a late stage beta out there somewhere. I've seen it on youtube. The first game seemed to be a decent success. But, with the violent video game backlash, and probably production cost of the games stop-motion style graphics caused the sequel to go unreleased.

Speaking of fighting games, Cardinal Syn for the PS1. If you look at the intro cinematic, they it seems like they had this big LOTR style world that they really wanted to play around in. There's also a few unanswered question they could answer. Who was the traveler? What was his contention to Syn-the game's big boss.

I'm sure there's more I'll think of later.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Yes I'm serious.

No I don't care if you think its a bad SB clone.

I liked it-even more than some entries in Smash Brothers, and there's about 30 PlayStation characters I'd like to play as. I do not want Crash and Spyro making it into the next SB, I want them in a PSABR sequel.

I'd love to a see a port to/remake for PC or a modern console. I've always wanted to play it and right now the only option is to track down a cartridge and a gamecube(not the easiest thing to do) or emulate it, which is legally sketchy. Is it still a bannable offense to even mention emulation?

I always thought it was a shame how underrated Eternal Darkness was in terms of psychological/cosmic horror. I loved the idea of playing as multiple protagonists across the ages and seeing how their stories crossed over with one another. Wish we could have seen a similar setup more fleshed out on a modern engine.

Okami, Bloodborne, and Half Life 2 are the big ones.

Oh, and Silent Hills, though we never even got the first one there. Konami, you really are the worst.

I doubt we'll ever see the IP again as it's apparently owned by Nintendo of all companies (at least that's what a cursory google search is telling me), the name pops up every few years or so when they renew the trademark but it's so far outside their usual fare I'd be legitimately shocked to see it again. It's a shame because the Switch would be perfect for some nasty sanity effects.

I'd like to see the Megaman ZX games get a third game to finish that story, that's one of the more underrated Megaman series IMO

Space Marine would be nice, not so much for the gameplay, but moving through a well rendered representation of a 40k world was great.

Dawn of War 1&2....

Cold winter. Imagine Goldeneye had been on the PS2 but didn't have the Bond Licence but had a story written by Warren Ellis.

I reckon a CBFD sequel could work (goodness knows I've imagined one enough times in my head), as long as they kept the movie spoofs to older classics rather than whatever is new and fresh in the moment, it would be less likely to age. Also lets see him in a snow level. I'd like to see what Conker thinks of an environment like that without pants...

100% behind this.

Part of the game that really stuck out to me was when Titus visited an Imperial Trooper bunker and the troopers would all kneel before him and call him "Lord". And as you left you could hear them talking behind you that they never believed they would see a Space Marine, and evidence that The Emperor has blessed them.

Stuff like that really put the 40k universe into perspective.

It was supposed to be a trilogy, I am not certain what killed it.

Mark Strong voice acting is also something I want more of.

I'm probably going to be unpopular for this one, but I'd like to see a sequel to The Order: 1886. Not for the gameplay, by any means, as it was a very generic TPS mechanically. However, the world invented for the game was fantastic! And of course the graphics were superb. Give me a GOOD game set in that world and I'd be a very happy man.

I could totally get behind this. I remember renting it and playing it on my cousin's GameCube back in 2001 or 2002. I actually managed to find a used copy a few years ago, and it works just fine in a Wii. Very dated graphics and gameplay, but the story and atmosphere are still great.
